German short rows seemed pretty daunting to me at first, but mainly because everyone else said so. Truth is, they're really easy to use in your knitting, and they give that perfect amount of extra volume for the parts of your knitting project that just need it. In this video tutorial, I show you how to make German short rows (GSR) on both sides of the stockinette stitch, as well as how to deal with them after you've finished knitting them in.
