The main reason why the audience went so crazy was his return to the stage. He was back. Before his wife and brother had died, he had already had fourteen very, very successful years behind him. After the deaths, he was away for four years, but everyone knew what had happened. The album "Mensch" has already achieved platinum status based on pre-orders (before release). The tour was completely sold out (65,000 people in the arena alone). And for him, this success came completely out of the blue. He hadn't expected to be so successful again immediately after his break. But his audience simply loves him. And still do today. Just three weeks ago, he gave eight concerts again, and last year he went on a longer tour. And almost all of his musicians are still with him. The ones you see in the video.

Wow, what a fascinating admiration of fans. Four years absent, and they loved him as if he never left. Awesome! Thanks for sharing...and thanks for answering my question about how many people are in the concert seats. 😏 ~ Tazzz ~

@@tazzznphilly I think the audience saw him crying happy tears as well as tears of grief. But all in all it was pure joy. For him, for the audience and for his musicians, who had their goofy, creative and nice companion back. I will give another suggestion for a song to react to when I'm home and not writing on my mobile phone (EDIT: kzread.info/dash/bejne/mY2albOKZJa4j9I.html this song "Männer" made him famous in 1984. He pretends in his opening words, that noone in the audience knows this song, because it was "relatively unknown". In fact he knows, that everyone in the audience knows every word of this song).

"Mensch" is the title song of his most successful album, which also included "Der Weg". The album is the most successful German-language album of all time and has already reached platinum status through pre-orders. As already expressed in the video for "Der Weg", he processes grief and loss on it. 65,000 spectators attended the concert. He has an outstanding position with the audience, who love him, especially because of the overall package of catchy music and intelligent, understandable lyrics. Since Euro 2024 is currently taking place here, I have entered a football song by him into the Tuesday competition.

😁. I waiting for you, Sir. See what you did? Lol, you had me liking Der Weg (which was your contest song), and now I choose this one next. Ok, thanks for telling me how many people fit into that place. Wow, 65,000! 😳. Thank you for the other educational words too, Sir. ~ Tazzz ~

@@tazzznphilly I have to say, a good choice! Lol. I regularly listen to the songs from this concert, "Männer", "Bochum" and "Flugzeuge im Bauch" are highly recommended. The song I suggested today is from last year's concert. Even twenty years later, none of the audience's enthusiasm has been lost. I saw that the clicks on the video of "Der Weg" have steadily increased. I would not have expected that.

@@perrosol-ns4cc8ot4t Yes, I was shocked too when I saw the views and comments awhile ago, from the first video. Thats what made me pick, Mensch. Outta thanking commenters who asked for it ALOT. Surprise! ...I was all giddy (excited), cause I KNEW you would see this new reaction and respond. Thank you for your support. Happy you like the channel, Sir. 😏

Here you can see, why NOT all good musicians, not beeing americans need/want to be famous in America, thy are satisfied and happy living in their own country and having their (many thousands) fans THERE! I love this song, its so great to hear it in summer, in the car, with the windows open and the volume at full volume! There is a wonderful version of this son, where he sings a duet with Jose Carreras, one of the world famous 3 tenors (Pavarotti, Domingo, Carreras) and Carreras belts out his parts in Spanish. Give me always goosebumps!

This is almost the sequel to Der Weg. A song about grief but in the last stages of grief. Written because of both his wife and his brother died in the same week and year. So glad you did the 9 minute long video. Someone who was there said that the standing ovation was going on in 15 minutes.

@@tazzznphilly his dad went so hard into grief of a son that he developed dementia and there's a song on that album about that as well. And a song for his kids who was turning into teenagers during this time with a desperate plea for not forgetting their mom. That album must be one of the most heartbreaking album's ever made by an European.

Thanks for your hit! And its nice to see, you became a part of the atmosphere. When Grönemeyer says in this Song: you miss! He referred to the death of his wife, that was also the cliffhanger in his other lyrics, your reaction before that. I think, nearly the hole album is as a reappraisal and processing of his grief to understand. Anyway, it was a pleasure to watch your reaction. Maybe you have Eyes to look at this: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hWyZys2OctCdj9Y.html This is not german musicians, but one of my favorite Songs. They singing in corsican, if you dont know, it is an Island near france and italy. The Island have a really interesting and a sad history on there fight for autonomy to be free, you can feel that passion in this great song and ther outstanding voices. So let me now if you will react! See ya soon...
