maybe the ball is staying too low or closer to net on backhand for of them, the number of blocks going in to the net is more than usual.

Adam, thank you very much for your excellent commentating at 2016 German Open. Your humor is appreciated as well. You demonstrated: Very quick responses to the play going on. Pretty accurate analysis of players' tactics. Unbiased remarks. Non-intrusive commentating between points, rather than rambling through points, on and on. All these make you the well recognized voice of ITTF. Thank you. One suggestion though. At the beginning of the match, could the video camera shoot you for a couple of seconds? These should serve two purposes: 1). set up a rapport between you and the viewers; 2.) so viewers know YOUR viewing angle in relation to the table tennis court so we can understand your commentating better. Keep up the great work. Thanks again, Adam.

+LongTimeTTFan Thank you for your kind comment! I appreciate it and think that comments like yours encourage other people to leave positive comments as well (which is quite refreshing and easier to respond to). Thanks again 8>D To address the points you brought up with the camera, I think one issue that would come up is, since the video footage (I believe) is being used to be shown in many countries around the world with commentary in many languages it wouldn't make sense to turn the camera on me or even have my name on the screen... as I am often not the only commentator. Occasionally the camera will turn on me like last year when I commentated in Cameroon and I was the only commentator. 1) I agree though. Hopefully with Ask A Pro Anything or anyone who is interested in seeing some fun table tennis, some behind the scenes on the World Tour or just checking out some of my adventures, they can catch me on FB or even my KZread channel (but I am updating my FB much more lately). But definitely a good idea and I'll try to work on building that rapport. 8>) 2) At this tournament, I was up on the 2nd floor but the truth is, when commentating, I almost never look at the court (only occasionally for cues and entrances or when games are about to start). I spend the majority of the time looking at a TV monitor so that I am watching the same thing as viewers at home. The main reason for this is, I generally need to know what the viewers at home are seeing so I can talk about what they are looking at. Sometimes cameras pan to fans in the crowd, coaches, trainers, family members or other top players in the arena and if I am not watching the monitor I could miss some good opportunities but also, if I am watching the court, I might talk about something that the viewers at home can't see or wouldn't have any frame of reference to really understand. So while every set up is different on the World Tour (and I will post some funny pictures on FB from Hungary where I was sitting on the edge of a concrete block and had no "seat") my view is the same as the viewer at home 8>) Hopefully this is helpful and thanks again for your thoughtful, supportive and encouraging comment! Adam 8>D

+Adam Bobrow Thank you for the explanation and quick response, Adam. Now i have a better understanding your POINT Of VIEW. Occasionally, Ian Marshall is shown sitting not too far from the court. I assume your seat is in the vicinity as well. So i expected you would know and explain why the Korean coach was sent off in the women's semi. But now i know why you had no idea either. Anyway, keep up the great work. Thank you again.

Yeah, it feels like an achievement for Vladi to take one set of Ma Long. And both the quarter and semi showed he's close to 2009 form again. But since the World Championship last year ML has been unstoppable. I can't see any weaknesses. At the moment the only question is, can he keep this up until the Olympics?

Have you even seen Ma Lin in his match against Michael Maze lately? I'll be surprised if he even gets 3 points in a set against Ma Long. Wang Liqin has not played competitively for a long time as well and at this level you lose such a lot after being out of action for just 4 months (see Timo Boll's current form). Liu Guoliang has not played competitively for at least 15 years.

From that angle it is impossible to see anything that has something to do with the game: player's choice making, judging on ball height and speed etc. All that is left for us to see is the scoreline. Easy player to beat. I wish there was somebody in the world who can challenge Ma Long on his best day. Until he has a worthy opponent, Ma Long will never go down as a legend. Zhang Jike, Xu Xin etc. are just not in that level.

+Sinchan Pathak There are players who can challenge him. A week ago he lost to Zhang Jike if not more. If you mean, can he be challenged by people outside China. The answer is NO

+Christian Haugaard I seriously doubt Ma Long cares that much about the Squad Trials. It's so obvious what he's doing. He's saving energy for the international events. He's not gonna play 100% for squad trials. ZJK on the other hand needs to because he's lost like 5 international games in 100 days or something. ZJK is also saving his energy / faking injury for big tournaments...
