Не скажу, что мне не понравилось Но в ролике мало достоверности. Так, во первых, большинство Фердинандов было потеряно уже на первой линии обороны русских, так как плотность минирования была очень высокой, а Фердинанды часто сбивались с проходов между минными полями и подрывались. Во вторых, да, советские танкисты на Т-34-76 отправлялись массово против Тигров и Пантер. Но данные эпизоды были всего два раза, на разных участках Курского выступа, и произошли они почти в самом начале немецкого наступления. Так как советское командование ничего не могло противопоставить броне новых немецких танков, а положение было тяжёлое. В третьих, на Курской дуге явно обозначалось превосходство советской авиации, что также поддерживалось советскими ПВО Здесь же мы видим, как тяжёлые немецкие истребители почти до конца ролика безнаказанно сбрасывают бомбы на советские позиции. И последнее. На Курской дуге была применена новая тактика расстановки противотанковых орудий. Вместо стандартного построения в линию была изобретена тактика противотанковых районов. Орудия ставились на небольших подготовленных позициях по 4-6 штук, каждое из которых смотрело в разную сторону фронта. Получался некий полукруглый клин. С такой позиции расчеты пошли вести обстрел прямой наводкой на 180-240 градусов сразу. Ах да, и ещё одно. Советское командование знало о предстоящей атаке нацистов, поэтому предприняло превентивные артобстрелы предполагаемых мест средоточения техники противника, которые начались за несколько часов до начала операции Цитадель. Это позволило уничтожить большое количество техники и живой силы противника, а также ввести его в состояние шока

Yes, it was a real hell. The most epic yet Soviet feature film "Liberation. The arc of Fire." Most likely, it is also available with English subtitles. I am convinced that the authors of the game have watched it and, apparently, more than once. There will be no more such epic films using full-scale technology - now everything is drawn by a computer.

The Germans actually won that clash. They destroyed the Russian strategic reserve, the Steppe Front. They withdrew because Hitler ordered the Panzer Corp in that area to transferred to Italy to meet the Allied landing on Sciliy.

No, Dubno-Brody-Rovno in summer 1941 was the biggest tank battle. 5 Soviet Mech Corps against 4 German tank divisions.

мой дед бился в этой битве .подбил 3 танка 2 пазика 3 и 1 пантеру которая потеряла ход подорващий на мине . награжден за эту битву орденом красной звезды и медалью за отвагу .автор ролика не показал рассвет имено на рассвете советская артилерия и авиация нанесла упреждающий удар по района сосредотачения противника . не показал что многии пантеры и тигры подрывались на минах . а чтоб взять ПтОпы .пришлось поднимать авиацию . из 65 укрепрайнов в первой полосе снесли 56. во 2 полосе из 125 снесли 70 . до 3 не дошли . мой дед находился во 2 полосе ему повезло так как перед его позициями был овраг . те кто был в первой полосе почти все погибли . за 3 дня боев из 137 человек в его роте осталось в строю 16 человек . 56 раненых . дед за время боев сменил 3 орудия одно раздили у 2 кончились снаряды . как он говорил это был суший ад . на той земле еще долго не расло ни чего из за разлитого топлива оставшийся мин снарядо и железа . сейчас там памятник и растет пщеница и подсолнухи .Вечная память павщим .

Excellent presentation. It was interesting to see some T-34 units take multiple hits but still keep firing.

The limitations of the graphic is understandable, but it is amazingly true to the event actually. It really was that level of brutish carnage. And it cost the Germans a lot more than just one battle. This was on par with the Battle of the Bulge for squandering resources they couldn't afford to lose.

@@user-jf4xb9wy4k Я имел в виду, что во время обоих сражений Гитлер тратил впустую ресурсы, которые он не мог позволить себе тратить в тот момент войны. В 43 году Курская битва наверное сократила войну. Вероятно, то же самое произошло и с ним в битве за Арденну.

Awesome bro! Just a thing I'd point out is about the audio that fizzles often, don't know if it's the actual game audio that sounds like this or if the loudness is exceeding over the 0DB limit, in the latter case, normalize audio & compression will fix it!

Thanks, ZaeN. The game engine cannot handle too many sounds being played so some will go missing and some will be added as after effect to boost the loudness of certain sounds, that go missing during the gameplay. The audio certainly can and will be improved.

My grandfather told me, he was a veteran of the Second World War, I don't remember exactly, but I think he served in the Kantemirovskaya division of the Fourth Guards tank motto.

This battle was the largest tank on tank battle in history.

Nice video... I wish we could have another part of Total War - Total War: II World War... That would be awesome game.

It were a few regiments in the Red Army equiped with the British Mk IV "Churchill" heavy tanks taken under the Lend-Lease programme that took part in the Battle of Kursk.

Any battle of this generation pales in comparison to shear scale of this battle the amount of deaths ,the amount of metal on the field

It's a pity, that this battle is not represented enough in games. And I always wondered, why it is less interesting for western audiences, than battle of Stalingrad. They both are very important for the tide of war and very massive, but Kursk is almost forgotten. Waves of the newest german havy tanks against well-prepared and deep soviet defense with a lot of reserves - isn't it epic?

the problem of this game is that is nothing on edge of map, at horizont, it's just empty space which kills the immersion of the map. I don't understand why the developers didn't take care to put mapped horizon - clouds, hills, anything else, not just an empty space which looks silly. Great video overall!

Well done. You captured Operation Zitadelle (Citadel) perfectly. The "Death ride of the Panzers". The destruction of Germany's panzer reserves meant that the Russians, from 1943 onward, now controlled the offensive operations to the end. The Blitzkrieg (lightning war) was defeated by a defense in depth, with hundreds of antitank guns, dug in artillery and supported by tanks. Despite the Fourth Panzer Army's best efforts, with the 48th Panzer Korps, 3rd Panzer Corps and the SS panzer divisions they could not break through. You captured the Russian T-34's closing the gap and engaging the Tigers at point blank range and nullified the long range gunnery of German guns. I hope this is not your last great project but it is certainly your best!!

It has always "supported" such large maps, but for vanilla game SP and MP experience, devs must hit performance targets on different hardware, etc. Thus the actual game has smaller-scale battles and maybe their vision of the game is narrower. In custom scenarios, on the other hand, we can push the limits.

The Germans' mistake was delaying the attack until July. They should've attacked in May when they originally intended. Delaying just gave the Russians times to fortify the hell out of the place. Also, they also made a mistake by rushing the Panther tanks into battle, because they still plagued by mechanical problems, causing many to break down in the middle of battle. And the Elefant tank wasn't used the right way as it was meant to be used defensively, not on the offensive.

july or not, the Germans still won't turn the tide. Even if they break into open country past Kursk and back to Stalingrad, they will still run out of steam and there shall be another encirclement of German armies somewhere.

@@mcbrians.8508 I agree that the Germans couldn't really WIN the war at this point, but a stalemate, and a negotiated peace I think was still possible. That being said, the Germans would've had to do a lot of things right to make it happen. Here's a possible scenario: the Germans win at Kursk, then go on the defensive in the east to bleed the Russians dry. Meanwhile, the Axis manage to prevent the Allies from getting a toehold in Sicily, or at least Italy itself. Then, if the Germans could defeat the Allied invasion of Normandy, MAYBE they could force the Allies to the negotiating table. But like I said, it would take quite a bit to make that happen. And then there's the issue of getting Hitler himself to go along with it.

@@sgauden02 the thing about German festung doctrine was that it was useless on a wide Russian countryside, the Russians will still surround them with hordes of armies. from what I’ve read, the Red Army have 107 divisions facing the Germans alone and every hour there’s a T-34 tank rolling out of a war factory. @@mcbrians.8508 True. Attacking Russia in the first place was a bad idea, especially since Germany was still fighting Britain. Then Hitler was stupid enough to declare war on America, which destroyed any chance of success.
