Random fun fact nobody asked for: There’s an ep of Gerbert (Forgive and Forget) where Stu and some other kid were delivering news papers. The kid accidentally throw the news paper in Gerbert’s window and breaks his kite he was making and Gerbert blames Stu. And he confronts Stu and Stu’s speech made me soooo sad. Stu says: “I always get blamed for the bad stuff. I can do good stuff too, you know. Nobody cares when I do good stuff. It’s only when I do bad stuff. I know I don’t act like it, Gerbert, but I really like being your friend.” And that’s why Stu is the best character, thank you.

My Dad and stepmum actually forgot my birthday earlier this year and I thought about this trope. They were sure it was the next day and I thought nothing was said at first because eh, Saturday morning, we're tired and have to do shopping and one goes to work. I just waited to see how long it would take for them to remember but in the end, I did have to remind them when we were debating the use by date on some spuds. A woman nearby found it hilarious but she did wish me a happy birthday and one of my colleagues had sent me a text that morning with birthday wishes; she remembered!

That raises a question, where the heck are his parents anyway? Or did Gerbert move out of his parents house, get a job(a well paying one apparently), bought a house, furnished it, and now just hangs out with random kids all day? "Happy Birthday To You" actually *wasn't* in the public domain until 2015, despite having existed since 1893. That's why so many shows use a different song instead. It's a classic example of why copyright laws as they exist now are utterly ridiculous and in desperate need of reform.

It was obviously his present all along. He basically gets to keep it since it's too small for Gerbert. Like really, is Gerbert really going to remember getting a football for his birthday years later?

The weird thing is, this is the first episode of Gerbert, according to Wikipedia.

What I find weird about Stu is how he's a teenager in a little kids' show. Like, anyone over the age of 10 should not be on these shows (except adults).

Gilbert gave me nightmares as a kid I had a big phobia of puppets and Gilbert was why I slept with the door open and light on. Istg that sob would've killed me otherwise

I've got to be honest, Ian, for someone handling religious content where jokes could easily become... contentious (or, I suppose, offensive to some) you do a really great job at it. Your videos are always hilarious and very fun to watch, and they do a good job of staying appealing to pretty much everyone, even when it is super easy to take a pot-shot at cringey religious media or something of the like. Keep up the good work, man!

@@SquishyZoran Uhhh... Sorry to burst your bubble my dude. But fuses have been in use since the 50s. They're actually still used today. Unless you mean house fuses in which circuit breakers began replacing those in the 60s. And some older houses still have fuses instead of circuit breakers.
