I am not denying that a leaf will root given the proper conditions. However, that is all that may come of it, a leaf with roots. The odds at growing a viable, blooming plant from a handful of cuttings is low. Maybe 1 per cent will grow into a plant.

It's easier to soak the leaves in a piece of willow tree twig about 4 inches long. When the willow strikes roots plant the gerbera leaves in soil.

Rooting hormon in water 2 g hormone in cap of water maybe hormone from willow brunches after 24h

I just did some leaf cuttings and dipped in rooting hormone, just a little, then added to an inch of water. I will post my progress with said method when and IF they start to root!!!! Then I will add to soil at that point. Cross my fingers!!!!

100% FAIL Not so fond of all of these various KZread videos at this point. I think they may be a farse, because every method I've tried so far has been a fail. Not to mention, they NEVER are up front about the materials they use. What's up with that?

Such rooted leaves never produce saplings.I kept the rooted croton leaf for almost an year without getting a plant. The leaf continued to live.It never died!!!!!
