What a Cafe Tom,toss up between the New York Cafe and it. Budapest certainly do have classy eating places.

It's a French name so you pronounce it the French way :) Yes, it's too expensive, but I assume you're paying for the ambience as well.

Yes, Émile Gerbeaud was born in Switzerland and her father was French. He came to Hungary at the age of 30. He opened not only a confectionery but also a chocolate factory. He died in 1919 in Budapest at the age of 65. He acquired Hungarian citizenship.
