Did you realize how their accent becomes less and less pronounced whith time? It's a pity because their original accent is adorable and sexy
@michelleflood8220
6 жыл бұрын
msinvincible2000 well Craig is in America but still seems to retain the accent but Gerard probably doesn't spend a lot of time with other Scots so that explains a lot of the fact isn't as thick as when he was younger because when you spend time around people of your same country it helps the retintion of the accent .
@clothilde1623
6 жыл бұрын
Yes! I'm Scottish and the Americanisation of their accents from the first video to the last was sad to behold. Guess they have musical ears, as that's apparently what makes people acclimatise to accents. Sean Connery must be tone deaf. 😂
@michelleflood8220
6 жыл бұрын
Clothilde well if you're spending time or are around people of the same nation you're going to lose your accent . My great granddad Patrick Kennedy who was from Tipperary retained his simply because he was spending time with other Irish people ! keep me with other Australians and it stays strong whereas if I'm around people of other countries it gets weaker. But these two were joking around the American accents were fake !
@clothilde1623
6 жыл бұрын
That's not always the case. Some people retain their accents years after migrating and being surrounded by foreigners. I would say most, however, have the traits you describe. Being with fellow natives definitely makes a person's accent broader, but then people's accents and manners of speech change every day, depending on to whom they are talking.
@michelleflood8220
6 жыл бұрын
Clothilde true whilst that is sometimes the case it wasn't for him he never developed an Australian accent , saw an interview with Gary oldman he said he had to retrain himself in his English accent because he's lost it because of being in America so long whereas others like James mcavoy whose Glaswegian despite living in London for many years still has the accent of his native drum chapel

+The JayLeno Fly There used to be a video of that interview on KZread with a lot of views, but it has been removed since, and in the comments someone stated this fact. And I think someone else said the same thing. So I have two sources saying the same thing and therefore I believe the comments, because they're the best we've got, and Gerard started with "Why did the..:" before it was cut. And what can I say, when I'm a fan of something, I tend to gather as much information about it as I can. ;)

Gerard Butler will always be Gerry Kennedy to me - P.S. I Love You is one of my favorites and really shows his range, hilarious and adorable and a HUNK.
This is at least the tenth time I have seen this but I can see it many more times and I still don't know if I would not continue with Craig Ferguson and Gerry Butler because they make me laugh and laughing is so needed in the world of today.
Did you realize how their accent becomes less and less pronounced whith time? It's a pity because their original accent is adorable and sexy
@michelleflood8220
6 жыл бұрын
msinvincible2000 well Craig is in America but still seems to retain the accent but Gerard probably doesn't spend a lot of time with other Scots so that explains a lot of the fact isn't as thick as when he was younger because when you spend time around people of your same country it helps the retintion of the accent .
@clothilde1623
6 жыл бұрын
Yes! I'm Scottish and the Americanisation of their accents from the first video to the last was sad to behold. Guess they have musical ears, as that's apparently what makes people acclimatise to accents. Sean Connery must be tone deaf. 😂
@michelleflood8220
@clothilde1623
6 жыл бұрын
That's not always the case. Some people retain their accents years after migrating and being surrounded by foreigners. I would say most, however, have the traits you describe. Being with fellow natives definitely makes a person's accent broader, but then people's accents and manners of speech change every day, depending on to whom they are talking.
@michelleflood8220
That 1 girl screaming when he comes out the 2nd time. 🤣🤣
Btw if anyone wants to know what the censored joke was at 41:31, apparently he said "Why did the woman go to church? She heard there was a man hung like this: .*extends arms*."

And what can I say, when I'm a fan of something, I tend to gather as much information about it as I can. ;)
