    It really isn’t impressive.. especially considering i look up to rich Gaspari, Lee Haney, Dorian Yates etc.. totally different ball game.. these movie stars aside maybe from only The Rock.. just don’t have like that hard grainy dense look to their skin.. and you don’t have to be massive to have that look.. it’s almost like a year round on androgen kind of look.. I knew I guy like that at my gym was in his 50s and wasn’t really big per day but had these grainy looking felts and thin skin that made your head turn.

    I agree that he in 300 looked more 'impressive' especially to people who go to gym. But people who don't train much would already think that physique in tomb raider is great. I've been training for 3 years and of course I want to get bigger. But how big you should be to look impressive really depends on for whom. You don't have to look like Gerard Butler in 300 to look impressive (or especially attractive) to normal people who don't train or into bodybuilding.

    Gerard Butler also caused a ton of injuries during the training for 300. He got dependent on pain meds and had to go to rehab to get clean. This is probably why he had such an abrupt end after shooting finished. Gear is notorious for joint and ligament damage.

  • @The_Chad_Davis

    @The_Chad_Davis

    Here a year later to tell you that you're incorrect. Actually, most steroids help your connective tissue and increase skeletal muscle tissue gain. Some increase the hyaline cartilage within joints.. There's only two steroids notorious for causing joint and ligament issues.

  • @Fir3fly798

    @Fir3fly798

    2 жыл бұрын

    Gear is not motorist for joint and ligament damage, that is completely false. The reason why people have joint or ligament issues on gear is primarily because the neurological expression (speed/strength/power output) is increasing disproportionately quickly to the growth of thicker tendons and ligaments. That and the fact gear will cause skeletal muscle growth far quicker than said tendons and ligaments can fully repair and likely there’s an increased risk of injury, especially if one is consciously aware of the strength increase and is pushing the boundaries. Gear itself actually increases tendon and ligament growth, not at the same rate however.

    Derek has a really good point. If you are natural, then you are not going to have a great physique for a certain movie and then a year later lose every bit of gains that you had the year prior. You would still retain somewhat of that same body composition. I have always speculated Butler was taking something for the movie 300. Because literally every movie he’s been in before and after this film, he has never even looked close to as good as he looked in 300.

    Bruh..his physique in Tomb Raider is great, that's what most average joes who work out naturally can achieve, and that is a good look. The Fitness Industry is out of its mind, they are all about huge bulk, massive shoulders, biceps, and thighs, which can not be achieved naturally no matter how hard you work, you have to take performance enhancing drugs to reach those levels of physique. And taking all those drugs will f*ck up your organs, especially your heart, liver, and kidneys. If you can manage to get a physique like Gerard Butler had in Tomb Raider, you should be proud, and happy with it, most Women do not care about huge muscles and hulk like figure. As long as you're in shape, you're good to go. Do not fall into the traps of Fitness Industry, most people in bodybuilding community have body dysmorphia, they are all on gear and they all believe bigger is better, that's their own individual choice, they can inject whatever they want into their body, but you should be very careful before thinking you can achieve anything like Gerard Butler did in 300 without taking any drugs.

It is pretty impressive what can be obtained with a moderate dose of cypionate alone if a good responder. I would say he may have added oxandrolone to it, or like you said, GH. Just seems easier to take a couple anavar a day though. I myself need an aromatase inhibitor to reduce water retention. Thanks for the great analysis!

With bodyweight training starting at 10 in wrestling and resistance training (barbell, db and machines) since 7th grade, 4-6 times a week. At 30 165 pounds at 5’10 is what all that training has got me. Am I strong (p4p) fit and lean, sure. Am I Hollywood actor level? Hell no. I love training though and do it nigh daily.

    It's hard to say when the guy nearly killed himself with dedication for 7 months, then completely quit after. He says in interviews he basically had a bit if a physical breakdown after.. I know from experience if your diet turns to shit and you quit training... you can soften up pretty damn quick! 200lb at 6' 2, isn't like huge...I think it's just the leanness playing tricks on your eyes. I think the cape, helmet and shadowing were also finishing touches in 300 he'll never repeat. Law Abiding Citizen looks 85% as good (minus makeup and shadowig), he just clearly never wants to diet and train to the 300 extent ever again as it messed him up and he feels like he trashed his body and his mind achieving it.

It maybe be achievable naturally, BUT in the time given with the person genetics is it possible for THEM to get from X to Y..... I am in the CGI industry, OBVIOUSLY you know how to edit video, I dont know how much you know about ACTUAL video compositing (After Effects not Premier) But the Post Processing in 300 is HEAVY, every guy is 50%-150% MORE muscular then actual based on importance/screen time/screen gate fill...

    Reggie furrow have you ever done a cycle of anything before? Bc I have in my 20's and I can tell you for a fact that you feel like superman on gear. And I wasn't on one compound and the minimum dose. So if someone took a normal amount or even more they're going to feel like superman and hulk combined. It wont wear someone out. Years I could see doing damage and injuries and stuff like that. But 7 months I dont think so.

    Yea I agree Derek, I had to stop working out for 3 years only doing some push ups here and there, and I only gained a few percent on my body fat, and I lost ten pounds of muscle but I still looked like I worked put, you don't lose that much that fast if your natural.

    Meh I don’t think you understand that these production companies own you once you sign a movie contract, depending on the results they want they have experts that follow them throughout the day making sure they train and eat right throughout the pre filming and even during filming. Not everyone juices

    I'm sure there are production companies that expect tou to use p.e.d. and other tools just like everywhere else in entertainment. I'm sure they expect actors to focus on ACTING and let the body transformer experts transform the bodies to morph to the roles. Lol. That's like saying they expect them to devote their time to doing their makeup and designing their costumes. They're ACTORS!
