A lot of fans are now signing a petition to have the crappy showrunners removed and that's probably why Henry is no more. They think they can just do whatever with a story we deeply love, they think they can milk us for money by replacing the one we like, they don't give a damn about the wishes and feelings of their own fans, but in the end they won't collide with nothing but hatred for what they've done... @@mariafedusyk5501 They think they can do whatever they want because they actually can do whatever they want. There is absolutely nothing we can do to stop or punish them. We just have to watch them destroy everything we love.

They should make more scenes of him using his magic. In the books he can do alot more magic spells other than the push ability he uses most of the time

Aye. It's a tight space fight , those sign spells are sufficient. My favorite is the shield that hurt the attacker. I remember I was the first player to used it to beat Letho on insane difficulty. The game later nerf that ability. 😁 You can check it out on KZread search. It's call beating Letho on insane. I can't believe it's already 10+ years ago. I was using a low end pc to play it.

The 3rd Witchergame offers 5 different sort of "spells"(signs?). The 'push' is the Aard-sign, a sort of kinetic shockblast, used to knockback or knock over people/stuff, even break them. The shield(that hurts?) is Quen, best seen against the Bruxa's scream-attack. Just a shield, but in the game it can be improved to deal damage to the attacker, so nice detail here. Axii, is sort of a mindcontrol to persuade weaker minds into obediance. You've seen Ignii when he heats up his sword to kill the Leshy(Eskel). Leaves Yrden. Imho a bít off the detail but still nicely made, looks a bít too much like Quen imho, but the basic is that Yrden is some sort of a 'Trap' in which enemy's are slowed, giving the Witcher a fighting-advantage. So, thus far, the 2 relatively short seasons have shown quite a bit already? Next to a few very impressive close-combat fights of Geralt ofcourse. And a vást story and content to explore/explain too! Nilfgaard, the Northern Realms and its Kings and other key-figures and political plots to develop. This show can be 'milked' for well over a dozen seasons. Its a tád 'politically correct' with the Casting, but in general, the show doesnt dissapoint imho :)

I really hate how in the game Ciri is super strong, teleport and fights with a sword since she was a kid but in the series she is just a crying baby

There ARE ways... just not a typical thing you expect of Witchers, and definitely not at more mundane lower levels but that's more RPG systems than anything else. The Runewright from Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone DLC could imbue your swords either with just straight runes... or a full on Runeword which provided more unique and generally more powerful effects, ONE of which provided the ability to charge your sword with the element of the last sign you used... thus an Igni cast would also ignite the blade for an incendiary strike. there were also swords I believe with either innate magics that had a chance to ignite enemies, or perhaps a Rune slot that upped that chance if you weren't using a Runeword enchantment. So... the precedence from the games is actually THERE... but its supposed to be spectacularly rare though - and the sword once imbued this way had a very obvious VISUAL magical quality to it. The show silver sword though just looks like a silver sword... could be magical but its hardly obvious. I do know that Geralt used a bit more magic in the books but can't actually remember if there's anything about insta-heating his silver blade (and the consequences thereof, silver's a fucking soft metal with a much lower melting point than steel.) would have made more sense for him to oil the blade and ignite the substance rather than wholesale turning it into an oven element - blade (if not magical) should be a fucking ruin at this point, heat-treatment and tempering is stuffed at least so it theoretically shouldn't hold up to many more fights - but that's definitely a me nitpick. Show runners are getting a bit desperate is my guess - they were doing OK... but I've a suspicion they expected to utterly dominate off the popularity of the games... by ignoring the games and go back to the source material while tweaking it for their own ends in the first season... fucking inspired, I know... And now... 2nd season they're rushing to any material that had any relevance to the games (hence why its such a rushed mess as far as pacing is concerned - and hence why characters are starting to Jetpack around the continent as in how the bad the writing got late seasons game of thrones style.) and characters (Eskel and Vesemir) have been butchered for plot purposes. Biggest indication to me is that the Wild Hunt who were barely a footnote in the books are now being set up as the big bad, and they're doing it at light-speed - in the books to my recollection they show up like once and then that's it, if anything its a small plot point for Ciri that she accomplishes more-or less on her own and that's that - they're 'out there' waiting in the wings, which is the story thread the games grabbed hold of and YANKED, but they're basically never mentioned again in the books. (Grain of salt or two, I haven't read any of the books for YEARS). Also, the sword designs of the Witchers in Kaer'Morhen in the series? I think ALL OF THEM are straight up replicas of weapons from Witcher 3. hell, the vaulted swords in the ruin's store-room are Witcher 3 Geralts, rune inscriptions and all. (I mean at this point just fucking hire the Witcher 3 CDprojekt Red's writing team and let them make Witcher 3 the series - why not? they got it fucking RIGHT) TO BE FAIR, the show could even be advised to taking a little bit of license with the source material; some of Sapkowski's earlier short stories (which are just as all over the place in chronology as season 1 is) focus on a few strange beats such as eyebrow raising angsty and juvenile relationship triangles between Yennefer, Geralt and Istredd. I mean... you COULD do that well, but I don't really see it going down well when they're already trying to rush through so much. I'm seeing way too much lazy writing driven by a frantic and desperate plot rush and cull. I'd tell them to take a Xanax, deactivate any and all social media accounts they have and tell them to take a fucking breath and slow down... if I were Netflix... which I'm not... so that's not what they're being told... ... I'm so sorry I think I just pulled the plug on my 'rant' tank.
