Thank you, Dave and Gerald! Great interview Dave! Gerald is one of my favorites. I would love someone to have a tournament where all the anglers have to fish the same five baits. All they can change is the color and size of those five baits. That would certainly help determine who was the best angler on that day. Then, on the final day, everyone uses the same five baits, color, and size.

Best interview yet. As someone who has spent nearly 4 years in Iraq and Afghanistan as a Marine and retiried after nearly 25 years wearing the uniform the state of the country is not as bad as the media paints it and the BASS industry is doing well. The haters are going to hate no matter what, PMA Positive Mental Attitude God Bless you and Gerald Swindle for your amazing attitudes about life. We get one shot at this game called Life and I want to leave this world tired and hopefully I was able to make a difference in someones life in a positive way.

Great stuff Dave once again you didn’t disappoint! The G-man is all knowing! What shocked me was to hear him say he didn’t want to throw a stick bait because he just didn’t want to. I went through this this year and through that date for the first time! I always thought why should I bother when I can catch them On my confidence Bates which is a spinner bait and finesse jig. My son was with me this day for the first time when I threw that Bait and all he did was laugh at me because of the numbers and size of fish that I caught. Keep the great

Everything Gman said was absolutely on point. I'm 28 years old. I come grew up on a small lake with both parents and 3 other brokes in a small 3 bedroom 1 bath house. We had the worst rusty water, and our restroom hardly worked most of the time. I couldn't wear certain color clothes because our water would ruin them. Often times we needed to heat our house with an electric stove. We didn't have air conditioning. We used food banks to get by or dad and i would go catch dinner, either in the summer or on the ice here in Indiana. As I got older, I started to see what the other kids had that I didn't. I felt like I could never fit in. I didnt want the other kids to know where I came from or where I lived because in a way I was embarrassed. I didn't invite any friends over and often times they would ask why I never had anyone over not knowing I was embarrassed. As I grew up, I realized that it was up to me to accept it, or change it. Thankfully, I changed it. But in a sense I feel as if where I came from made me who I am. If I wanted new clothes, new shoes, new fishing gear, I had to work on it. I had to help the farmer who's property we hunted. Aunts, uncles. And in a sense, that's helped me as I'm getting older. Now being 28, I have a nice truck, I have a newer nitro, and a house I recently built. Most importantly I'm a father to a healthy 6 year old son. Hearing G man talk about how more people just need to he themselves, and not shy away from who they are or who they come from. It touched me. And still to this day only a select few know where I come from. In March, I'm going to spectate the 2023 bassmaster classic and my goal is to meet Mr. Swindle. I've got one question for him that I've always wanted to ask that I think all viewers would want to know. If I get the chance, I'm going to ask it. To this day my dream will never change. And that's to make a living fishing just like Gman has. Thanks again sir for being you, and allowing people like me to accept who they are and where they come from. I'm very blessed in many ways.

Over the last 3 years Kyle has taken me under his wing and it has been truly a blessing to build a friendship with Welcher and he is incredibly humble. I was sitting next to Hunter when they came to get her right before weighing in on the final day of the Classic because Scott was already done so I was off. And talking to him in backstage after he truly was Stone Cold Kyle Welcher. But in talks he has said 13 came calling after G and Wheeler said they needed him. The dude is a hammer but still humble enough to say it wasn’t all me. I had help and also holds G and Lulu in high regards. Because not only has G took him under his wing but Lulu has as well with Hunter.
