Gospel, Rythem and blues, when I first heard Gerald Alston as a child, with The Manhattans, it changed the way I felt about music and as my uncle once said, he knew, The Manhattans was going to go to a whole other level when that 18 year old kid joined the group, THANK YOU!!! He has an unmistakable voice, a strong command on his audience. His musical range caught me as a teen and I have been touched with his every delivery. On the gospel train with him, don't you miss it 'cause you'll be sorry. I will forever enjoy his music as a solo act or with the Manhattans. God bless you Gerald.
