"Georgia O'Keeffe's Modern Nature," presented by Erin Coe, Chief Curator, the Hyde Collection
Erin Coe, curator of "Modern Nature: Georgia O'Keeffe and Lake George," examines the seminal influence that her Lake George experiences had on the art and life of the pioneering modernist Georgia O'Keeffe. From 1918 to 1934, Lake George served as a rural retreat for the artist and provided the basic material for her art. O'Keeffe drew from the spirit of this place as she developed her modern approach to portraying the natural world. In this illustrated lecture, Coe will explore the full range of work and the major themes that marked this formative and productive time in O'Keeffe's career.

Outstanding presentation.
Apple fever ? Wow ! Lots of gems in this Gallery Talk!
I love her flowers that look like Feminine Anatomy.
My brother and my sister in law went to Lake George.
what was the inspiration for her early black and white drawings, also abstract from before meeting Stieglitz
Sublime
Maybe she longed for a child, but never could bare children and so she echoes this in some of her Art. She seems to be a honest and strong emotional person who was a private person but told it in her Art images.
I want to know more about her monochromatic application of color! Erin Coe?
Skip the first 8.5 minutes and you'll be doing yourself a huge favor.

Great presentation, unfortunate distracting sheepdog bangs, but still outstanding compared to typical artsy lecture
