Thanks! That was my original plan from the beginning. My first video was the first piece of gold I ever found. I learn from all the old timers by making videos and they comment and teach me. Works out great for me. I have access to the knowledge of thousands of miners at my fingertips!

You didn’t waste your time. Knowing where and what vain has or doesn’t have gold is very valuable information. I promise if you hit the right spot you will find more gold than you would in the creek. I would go back to the museum in the area and really study and take pictures of the ore samples found there and university of Georgia might have some good information in the geology department. I found old letters from mine owners in my area and details about their findings at the local library. I have faith that before the year is over you will hit your hard rock gold

Nice find Aaron that's hard work right there. now that quartz vein could be going back a good bit and it might get bigger and thicker and might even be more mineralised the deeper it goes back .

Man I thought you'd get more out of that vein than that. If I was you I'd try a few of those other veins around there and follow them to see if you find a place where it is more mineralized. Follow the seam.👍⛏⚒

@@goldiswhereyoufindit Right! I assume the vein is near the area that you've been prospecting right? You have found some good gold in it, so it has to be coming from somewhere around there.⛏⛏⚒⚒

Nice find but did you actually test pan the soil where the vugs shed out? That's usually where the gold is locked up. If the vugs shed the hematite the that soil most like does have gold in it.

I did pan it and yeah tons of black sand chunks in the mucked saprolite. I didn't get much panning it out but a few tiny specks every pan just panning the decomposed bedrock.

One day youll hit it dont give up

Nice. I just moved up to Gainesville area. Any suggestion where I can at least go play in the dirt. I made a homemade crusher I’d love to try out on actual ore. It’s on a vid I made

Gainesville is tricky. You have to be on private property and most of the mineral rights surrounding Lanier are owned by the Army Corps of Engineers. They do not allow any prospecting on land surrounding Lanier which of course is where the best gold is in Hall County. I would say you could just pick up samples off the ground to crush. Just look for the rustiest, gnarliest pieces of quartz you can find with pock marks or "vugs" all over it. Just keep track of which rock came from where in case you hit the motherlode we can go back and find it lol.
