As a Georgia fan, I agree with everything you said about Milroe. Extremely athletic, throws a great deep ball and is accurate on pretty much every throw. His one weakness is reading defenses and the offense is certainly watered down to mask his weakness for now. If Georgia can contain him and make him make quick throws and bait him into some bad coverage throws, then they have a chance. Have to bring pressure but keep him contained. Going to be a tall task for sure.

I agree with the reading and vision but his long throws are rarely on target ... in the Tennessee game that 1st TD, there wasn't a defender in 7 or 8 yards and receiver went from left hash mark to the right to catch it. Was another later in the game. He gets away with that because when he runs ... the safeties come in and a receiver gets separation.

As a UGA fan, Bama always scares me. Coach Saban always comes up with a plan, and they have a team built to beat UGA. This will test UGA more than they have been all season. If IGA wins this, they win it all.

Amen! Ive been a Tide fan since 05. Ive watched every game with my father since he first got me into sports. Seeing the growth of this team after the Texas loss is beautiful. A lot of people including some of our "fans". You can never count out Nick Saban. Not to mention, after being benched, seeing Jalen Milroe blossom has been amazing. Im a grown man now & not afraid to admit i was in tears for the "Milroe miracle". I hope our Tide can stop the streak, since they halted us in '21. We have redemption on our minds. & i mean that respectfully. I have nothing but respect for what Kirby Smart not only did for us, but what he has done for the university of Georgia. To be the best you gotta beat them. May the best team win, & prayers to both teams saftey. RTR!!!

Typically when a team has a close emotional game like Bama had last week, they don’t do particularly well the next week! Curious to see how Bama comes out! Bama has not played a complete game all year, its been the second half, they can’t afford it this game! Bama should run straight at Georgia and test those safeties often , if they come to play and play a complete game they win! The question is how well do you trust Bama’s offense with Milroe? But sometimes a team just has a destiny, seems like every thing aligns at the right time for them!

I'm a realistic Alabama fan and I'm not ganna brag about our offense this year. This year is the worst I have ever seen in the red zone. Alabama ALWAYS runs up the middle 1st of 4 in the red zone.. LITERALLY ALWAYS! I cannot stand our offensive coordinator, I think he's a joke and don't have a clue how we managed to scrape by in some of the games. I don't claim to be any kind of football analyst, but if I can call what your doing bc its obvious then someone isn't doing their job! If that Auburn Safety DIDNT use that illegal clap and gave Alabama 10 yards to work with. That last play would have never of happened. We only gain yards when we are further away from the red zone. I’m a Georgia fan and I hate to say it but I think you’re right. In 2021 the one issue our defense had was we couldn’t stop the long deep ball, something Alabama was amazing at. This year, our one issue with our defense is the quarterback run, something Alabama is amazing at, again. It’s like it’s fate.

Most Bama fans were. He wasn’t performing at the beginning of the season. Once he showed improvement game after game, fans began to have confidence in him. There was no reason to think any different based on last years performance and how things began this year. I’m happy he got some confidence. Milroe is gonna ball out Saturday. Book it.

As a Bama guy these teams are similar. If Bama is to beat Georgia it has to be in the air with a combination of vince young play from Milroe. Can Alabama put this together idk.

Against Rattler, Auburn’s qbs, cook, dart, and other qbs we have played this year they have tried to run early and we did not have a spy out there. As the game progressed on some plays it seemed we incorporated one in, but with how Kirby had game planned and had Georgia playing against mobile qbs I think the dawgs will adjust well against milroe.

A note for you Matt. GA offense this year is the Bama offense of 2021 and Bama offense is similar to GA offense of 2021. So it’s the same situation but different style of offenses. In order for Bama to win they have to keep the game low scoring. For GA to win is to score 35 to 40pts. I don’t see Bama holding GA offense to 20 some points. Ga defense doesn’t allow more than 2 Deep ball completion. So we’ll see is GA really in big trouble or is Bama in big trouble. 🤔

Well, let's be clear here.... 2023 Georgia is not 2021 Alabama on offense. I'm not talking about total points scored but base offensive philosophy. 2023 UGA's offense runs a lot of short and intermediate routes relying on tight windows; impeccable timing routes between QB and WR; and creating angles based on play action. They've scored so much because they've had the superior players with more talent than their SEC East opponents to be able to turn them into big plays after the catch. 2021 Alabama hardly even entertained the idea of running the ball. In fact, it was it's #1 weakness. Bill O'Brien ran a very NFL style offense based on long drop back passes and scrambling Bryce Young to buy time for his WRs down field. *Long story short:* 2023 UGA runs more 3 & 5 step drops when passing. 2021 Alabama ran mostly 5 & 7 step drops on pass plays. 2023 UGA is more balanced on the run. Bill O'Brien seemed to be under the impression he'd be fined by the SEC if he ran the ball more than 10 times a game. I don't know what to expect tomorrow. Georgia is clearly the better team. However, Alabama is more tested. Georgia is hot and on a roll, but how much longer can we seriously expect this undefeated streak to last? History has seen the far more impressive dynasties at Alabama, USC, Nebraska, Miami, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame come up short. I don't know of any serious college football historian who considers this UGA run on the same levels as those teams. So, I don't know what to think... My gut tells me Georgia should win, but crazy things start going against teams the closer they get to pulling off three-peats. It's inexplicable.

Beck has a quick release and big hands. GA o-line is the best in Kirby era and Bama defensive front gonna find out first hand tomorrow. Ga had 10 WRs that have well over 20 catches this season. A totally different offense than 2021 season.

MATT, MATT, MATT, to say Cook at MIZZOU is a pocket passer shows you have not done your research well enough. Cook is also deadly with running extending plays as well scoring TDs. Funnily enough how he made all these points about Georgia's defense, because he must not've checked, but Alabama's defense is even worse. Plus, Georgia's offense is even better than 2021 Georgia, another point he DID make, which I believe will be the ultimate decision maker of this game.

Georgia has definitely had games go into the 4th and they've played from behind in almost every game😂

I think Bama probably scores 21-24 in this game. But in the end I think Bama has trouble down the stretch and can't stop UGA's run game in the 4th quarter. UGA by 10.

I know bama fans want to be like “that texas loss was early in the season it doesn’t matter we’re better now” but let’s be real, bama lost by double digits at home to texas who is basically a less talented uga, uga is the better all around team but it’s true uga hasn’t been tested by a truly elite team this year but bama has been tested against 1 elite team and they lost so I don’t get that argument that you are using

Tech runs an old fashioned option offense, you cannot really use them for comparison. In that offense the QB does a ton of the work with his legs in designed runs.

@@danz1182That’s not really true. We actually pass the ball a lot. Haynes King has the most passing TDs in the ACC. He is just super athletic with his legs. I would hope the Alabama OC knows that Milroe can run and will draw up designed runs

I'm not concerned at all, Kirby has learned that playing against running QBs they will have a plan for that.

matt, while it’s true uga hasn’t been tested by a truly elite team I can say with certainty that bama has been tested once against a truly elite team, that team was texas and can you remind me what happened when texas went into bama’s stadium? I don’t wanna hear about how it was early in the season either, and texas is georgia but less talented, im not saying that means uga will blow out bama though i certainly want uga to win

The lack of substance in the bama offensive scheme will catch up to them here. First year OC jitters. In 2020, UGA had a new one. Now it’s bamas turn. Bama doesn’t have the QB-WR group like in 2020 or even 2021. Milroe has alot of sacs - 4 in the Auburn game. Milroe isn’t that good at reading coverages - longest pocket time in the country. Carson has one of the shortest play times - quick decisions and release - low sac count. The shootout scenario is less likely this year but if it happens Carson and Bobo are ready to press the gas pedal! UGA 37-27

Hit this one correctly in saying that milroe isn’t good at reading coverages and that’s why he reverts to running. I mean who wouldn’t when the LB’s and DB’s all have their backs turned and he has all that green in front of him. Plus bama run game isn’t what it used to be and that adds pressure for milroe.

Yes. You can only count on busted coverages so much. Let’s see Milroe throw into tight spots this game like Beck does all the time. Milroe 45% in passes 10-19 yards

The refs have helped out Alabama this year. There was a lot of penalties and other previous games Alabama's record should not be as good as it is. I highly believe that Georgia comes out winning all this year

UGA is a top 10 team in total offense and total defense and are damn sure not as flawed as Bama. Major difference is UGA doesn’t beat themselves unlike Bama!

I promise if we make him beat us passing we will beat you easily, his legs are the biggest threat to us. He has an amazing deep ball and supreme speed. His intermediate passing is not accurate and inconsistent, now he could have a day and dot us up and if he does I can live with that but giving him 150 yards rushing allowing him to refresh the downs is what worries me. Either way I absolutely cant wait to see this game as a georgia fan this is the game i look forward to most because the winner of this showdown usually wins it all! Go Dawgs!

Jalen has shown that he can move the ball through the air in the TA&M game. The team had a total of 15 rushing yards and Jalen put up 321 passing yards and 3 TDs. Georgia’s secondary will have to come out to play if y’all want to win

UGA has definitely been battle tested, they have had several games that were tight. If you are meaning the fourth quarter then still UGA has had close games (Mizzou and Auburn). Bama is the best team UGA will play thus far, gonna be a helluva matchup.
