No one, and I mean no one can sing like Merle. But if I gotta listen to someone else sing his songs than George Strait is my choice. One legend singing the songs of another.

Never heard anybody sing this song like Merle but he nailed it

I love you George and Merle was who I grew up on i once said if you don't like Merle you are not American

When I was a kid listening to this with my dad driving truck and teaching me lessons about how to live and work for your family still sing these songs with him every time I see him. I know he won't be here for much longer but I want to give him the roses before he is gone.

A little bitty tear let George down. George is a national treasure.

George Strait is one of the few country stars who is truly country. His songs tell a story which is not what most of the screeches and moans do with our new crop of singers. We are blessed to have George still performing and letting people hear what true country really sounds like.

I remember George playing little po-dunk spots around South Texas when I was a teen. He had not made the bid time yet. Loved him ever since. He is the real Troubadour and a real gentleman in person as well.

He didn't dance around but he memorized by his voice. My wife loved his singing. She passed away last year. We saw him at Cowboy boy stadium.

hilario loredo I saw him live three times, between 1999 or so and 2013. It’s not a ‘whoopin and hollerin’ type show, you’re right. You just sit in awe of their stage presence and out of respect. Tight, tight band, led by one of the greatest songwriters.
