Growing up in Fort Worth, George is woven into the fabric of reality in that town. You cannot have Fort Worth without George, you cannot have George without Fort Worth. And you cannot be from Fort Worth if you don't know George.

George Strait has been my wife’s and mine favorite since early 80’s for sure! Heck maybe earlier than than. Next time he comes to Ft. Worth I’m taking her to celebrate our 55th anniversary.... hope it’s in June!

George is almost 70 and still has a great voice. One of few country singers who took took care himself and voice. No drug problems. Not a single scandal. No run ins with the law. At 68 he might as well be 28. I bet he'll live to be a very old man.

Dont mean to be negative but in the mid 90s george strait was kicked out of a strip club in Albuquerque New Mexico because of touching strippers when told not to. And a small newspaper my mom used to work for had pictures of Mr. Strait drunk out of his mind being carried out of a club in las vegas. They chose not to publish as they were not that type of publisher. We all have secrets.

Still listening in 2024. Great to hear him as a young man live, already several top hits on this. I discovered George Strait late when I was taking care of my mother-in-law when she was trying to recover in physical therapy after a stroke. It was 2007, I traveled from Arizona to Visalia, California, where the major station had western country on the radio. I thought, “Who’s this?” A little late to the party. I had no idea he’d been a star since 1980s! 😂 Since then I’ve bought all his LPs/tapes/ CDs and now on my iPhone playlists! Authentic western. My early years were in Texas, so in my heart was always an understanding of classic country. My favorites now are Johnny Horton, Patsy Cline, George Jones, country Jerry Lee Lewis, Alan Jackson and George Strait and a few others. ❤

What a great band!!!

Praise God for George Strait. 🙏❤️. His music has a positive influence in my life. Sure other people agree with me. Thanks George!

I was lucky enough to shake George Straits hand, he was riding a horse around shaking hands when he got a hold of my hand the horse kind of jumped up backwards I was so excited but I let go and I really could see his eyes I believe the incident kind of shook him up!

My youngest son, 22yr. old sang this at my wedding 29 years ago. George Strait is his favorite singer. My other son sang I Swear by John Michael Montgomery. They gave me away. It was AWESOME. Not a dry eye in the Mountain Chapel in Gatlinburg. WONDERFUL MEMORIES ❣️💕❤️

One night, in Beaumont, Texas, in a hotel parking lot… before a concert…. I said, “Hey, George”! He smiled at me, signed my ticket envelope. Yes, my SIL and I were stalkers! We were in the right place, at the right time! A great memory!

I saw George in 1987 at the WWVA Music Hall in Wheeling, W. Va. I was dating a new guy & he & his friends had tickets & had an extra one, so I went along. I wasn't up on the popular country music at the time, & had no clue who George Strait was. I wasn't expecting anything much. WOW- did I ever get a surprise! First off, the venue was absolutely packed. And the screaming girls were unreal! Mr. Strait & his Ace in the Hole band were just phenomenal. How did I not know about this gorgeous hunk of man with such amazing talent?? I felt like a total dumbass at the end of the show, as practically every female in the place gave George a big bouquet of flowers. I hadn't been to that many concerts before, & I didn't know that was a thing. I left that night with a new favorite country artist, that's for sure! Thank you George Strait for so many wonderful years of great musical entertainment. I'm a forever fan, that's for sure.

Just saw him last night at the H Rodeo and omg I found this wow🤩 what a gem! He’s still as amazing and that smile 😊 it’s the best! I’m so grateful we got to see him!

I was a 15 year old usher working in the Astrodome. That was my 1st time seeing George perform, didn't know much about him then, but now he's my all time favorite country musician!
