George's Marvellous Medicine - Narrated by the late, great Richard Griffiths

NOT Derek Griffiths, as was mis-labelled by the publishers. (Shame on you) I personally feel this is the best reading of Roald Dahl's classic. Not to put a sniff on Richard E Grants version or Rik Mayall's. I grew up on this version, and it disappeared into the catacombs of time, into obscurity! I found the tape online, captured it, ran it through my sound pal to do a basic clean and here it is! May it never go missing ever again.

Agree. This was a fantastic audio version of the book. My sister and I would do the washing and wiping up when we were little. This would be put on in the background to make the task more bearable. Thanks for the upload.

Kind of cool to listen to a Roald Dahl story read by Vernon Dursley himself

OMG I remember reading this to my mom back when it had first been published. Mom was the 'lower school' librarian and always had a stack of books to go through over summer. I began reading- we were in the kitchen and she was cooking dinner. It wasn't long before we were laughing so hard I couldn't actually read and we were practically peeing our pants! Sure do miss her.

My heart, I'm CRYING! I've been searching high and low for years, I even hum the tune to myself every so often and wonder where my well loved tape went. I've been looking in every nook and cranny of the internet for a recording and admittedly, forgot about it. Until today, on World Book Day, I saw a child, dressed as Grandma, which reminded me to look again.
