George Reeves Superman Kellogg's Corn Flakes Test Footage Commercial at his home.

Ойын-сауық

This is rare amazing footage of George Reeves at his California home trying to do some reality type commercials for Kellogg's Corn flakes. It's the same home sadly he would kill himself, then of course others think murdered.

From all accounts, including interviews with Jack Larson and Noel Neill, Reeves was a generous and decent man who appreciated his fans and what the Superman series had done for his career, but simply wanted to move on to other projects, including directing features and acting in non-Superman projects. Today, Henry Cavill, the current Man Of Steel, is playing Napoleon Solo in the Man From UNCLE movie and Robert Downey acts in Sherlock Holmes films and other roles. Reeves was unappreciated.

I think back in the 1950's when he was so popular the actors then became more typecast because television was still so young and they didn't really have much to move on too. Today it is different and one who is so popular in a series can become sort of typecast but not for long they go to other venues. Tom Selleck is a good example. Magnum to movies etc and Blue Bloods. Dean Cain moved on from Superboy, Michael Landon from Little Joe, Pernell Roberts from Adam, Robert Conrad from James West, Robert Horton from Flint, Farrah Fawcett from Charlie's Angels, and so on. Back then not so many shows and gosh George Reeves had it hard to transition. Too bad he didn't live now and could have gone on to many things.

George Reeves lived a very odd life. He had an affair with a married woman he had no future with. He didn’t have children and Hollywood took his career away from him and the press ruined his identity by always calling him Superman in the newspapers. George Reeves had fun playing Superman but Hollywood made his life difficult because of it. That’s a lot of weight for the poor guy to carry. I wish he stuck around to see all the out pouring of love that came his way after his passing. Little did he know Superman and superhero projects were the future for entertainment popularity. If only he’d known 😢

George, even though he was down, had a lot to live for if you ask me. He was just a victim of a obsessed crazed woman. He was marked. Stardom and money got him into it. I thought that he was a fantastic actor. Talented and well read. They, Hollywood should've used more of his talents. To heck with all stereotyping.

George Reeves, instead of wrestling because he couldn't find work when the Adventures of Superman (AOS) got cancelled, could've made money signing autographs, holding talk, and Q & A seminars of behind-the-scenes going on in the filming. He could've also have written a book about his life and the special effects used in the AOS filming.

First, it wasn't "her priest" who she confessed to, but was some Publicist named Edward Lozzi (and claimed to live with her until she died), who claimed she made her "death bed confession" to him. And she said nothing about her personally having ordered it, but only said, "Eddie had George taken care of". It's on utube. And secondly, your belief as fact that Alzheimers "takes away the short term memory and leaves only the long", is as nonsensical as Toni "having had confessed" to her Priest!

Firstly, I have a masters in psychology, and do have some background in work with Alaheimers...it takes the short term memory, leaves the long term... Secondly, I have contacted Mr. Lozzi and he confirmed that Toni confessed to her priest the murder. He is a publicist now, but at that time, he was her caretaker for two years, during which she prayed for forgiveness for the murder. Before attacking me, you should take psych 101, and contact the man yourself... He was there, you were not.

George Reeves' ultimate fate was certainly lousy. But Christopher Reeve's fate was even lousier. If you're an actor with a name that is anything like Reeve/Reeves, you're crazy to play Superman.

@@FreshPrincex4 I understand that the actor Idris Elba has seriously been considered for playing James Bond. I think the world is also ready for a black Superman. More ready than they are for a brown, red, or yellow Superman. ("Yellow" for Asians may be politically incorrect now. But anyway you know what I mean.)

George use to play russian roulette with a unloaded handgun.,,He did this as a way to relieve stress,..,he would put a unloaded gun to his head and pull the trigger,,, .it was just a game that George liked to play,,,,.Everyone who knew him ,,, knew he did that,,,,Someone loaded that gun, George thought it was unloaded.,,,,,There's a good book out on George called twin souls merging by jean Cline ,,,she talks about his murder in the book..

Russian roulette can only be played with a revolver. The idea is to spin the cylinder and when it stops, the 'player' doesn't know if the chamber is empty or not. It can't be played with an automatic type weapon that was found at the scene. Maybe Ms. Cline also has a bridge that she wants to sell.
