As I was watching the tribute concert it became even more apparent that nobody could ever match Freddie's God given talent. I always viewed George Michael as a good pop singer and nothing more for he never really impressed me but when I saw his performance and rendition of Somebody To Love which was one of my favorite songs I was speechless and I knew that I was witnessing history being made. This has GOT to be among the all time 'Must watch' videos in youtube history! GM totally killed it with his powerful rendition. OMG! No matter how many times I watched this I still get goosebumps. GM looked at Roger Taylor with respect many times during the song to acknowledge his excellent Drumming and to let Roger set the pace for this stunning song written by the amazing Freddie. GM made Adam Lambert looked so weird now after we see this video. NO doubt Adam is a fine singer and an amazing performer...but only GM with his strong stage presence, breath taking Vocal and also his equally brilliant song writing talent is worthy to sing Freddie's songs.

What makes this great is he sang for himself and not to imitate Freddy. He knew his limits and that is what seperates good singers from great singers is understanding every extent of your vocal range. You see lpts of people attempt to go above their vocals to match an original piece but make it sound bad. If you just sing in the way you know amd yhe vocal ranges in which you know you can hit itll always make for a great song/performance.

That's the truth. He was a charming, kind and generous person, in addition to having the voice of an angel. Freddie also felt he had to "protect" his mother. Apparently, she knew anyway, and accepted him just as he was. There's a good interview with her online somewhere. But regardless, the real wrong is that George Michael was ever shamed for who he was. I hope we have left those days behind forever. Such an untimely death for this beautiful artist. What a voice and talent.

This was maybe the hardest performance he ever did. His lover, Anselmo, was backstage and would pass a few months later of HIV/AIDS. He had just lost his friend in Freddie and would soon lose his mother. What an incredible performance under the circumstances. He should be so proud of what he did that night. I miss him too.
