I don't know what people are saying that it was obvious he was gay. To me he just looked here like a fairly shy person to the Limelight but one who was very intelligent for his age....a nice kid. RIP George. We will never forget you.

His mother a Brit. North. West. South. East London have different versions of London Cockney accent. Think.....David Beckham. He's East. Jason Statham I think he's South. Guy Ritchie I think he's West. Only 2% of London speak like Boris Johnson or the Royal family. That accent is known as RP.... Received Pronunciation. The rest speak like the people I've described. Ahhh this is exactly how I remember George. I always enjoyed him in interviews and his openness and how he sees music. So sad to lose him too soon.

Mature beyond his years, speaks so well for a still teenager.

He was so agonisingly handsome that time.....

It`s amazing to think a year later Wham exploded globally. Wake me up before you go go, last Christmas, etc. He was incredibly talented and wrote the songs, sang them , and played many instruments.

This man was the epitome of handsome. He just got better as years went on

Today also its 25 March (2020).....its been 37 years to this interview.

Agreed! To my mind, only Elvis Presley at his finest was more perfect/beautiful looking as far as male beauty goes! Both had incredible singing voices, though George was a great songwriter too, unlike Elvis. But Elvis was a more dynamic/charismatic stage presence. The world is a poorer place without them(and Michael Jackson, Prince and Freddie Mercury too of course.) Their music and legacy will endure for all time!

Wild stuff. For those who don't know, being "on the dole" means you are getting unemployment benefits. So George and Andrew were just living off the government waiting to make it big (get it?). It lines up with their song, Wham Rap, which is all about just enjoying life and not being in a job you'll hate because you can just live on unemployment. They made pretty good successes of themselves, I'd say!
