Back when George Lucas was happy. Before the fans harrassed him so much to the point where he didn't want to make movies and hated the star wars franchise.

This comment is nonsense. 1. George is the guy that wrote all the "let go of your fear" stuff. He said in this Video he doesn't even feel pressure. Not worrying about certain things is the center point of his philosophy and he doesn't regret anything. 2. He got hate before the prequels. He said that some people hated C3PO and the ewoks and basically want every character to be Darth Maul. They also didn't like V when it came out.

George Lucas is happier now. He wasn't harrassed by fans, he was attacked by Hollywood, and some of the weapons were slander and mockery through the press. There are always weak minded and easily influenced fans sadly. As the guy in the interview said: "I bet they're not very good with women".

+Mediocre Generica Yeah, you should be sorry for getting all snobby at someone just because they have a different opinion than yours. Film, like all art, is subjective and even though most people think the prequels suck (me included) there's no need to look down on those who do enjoy them. At the end of the day, they're just movies.

Poor Jake Loyd people will bully him out of the spotlight. George will be hated. Jar Jar will unknowingly give emergency powers to the Emperor. Attack of the Clones will ruin the whole trilogy for people and George will lose his baby (Star Wars) but we'll still get Rogue One out of it. The Phantom Menace wasn't bad, it wasn't phenomenal either. It's over-hated and I'd argue underrated at this point and thats not just because of the action set pieces.

No, it doesn't. The circumstances are absolutely different and you failed to notice. OT Star Wars: In the early 1970s struggling young Director George Lucas at the beginning of his challenge on the making of what would be 1977's Star Wars was a situation where he came up against the old Hollywood moguls and their old time system, struggling to flesh out his manuscript and testing the reactions to it through his peers and colleagues-- the 1970s still reeling from the social, cultural upheavals of the 1960s--therefore the concepts went through dozens of changes but what is important that George Lucas had to refine and filter his ideas through his peers as he was also responsible for the budget/loan issued for his movie project, under extreme pressure to finish the movie, creating a special effects department that seemed to be too relaxed. Prequel Star Wars: George Lucas is now financially independent writes the script all by himself this time without any tests from peers.
