Most of his stuff he tried to pass to the rest of the Beatles but they waved it away without even caring. We’re lucky we got something, while my guitar gently weeps & For You Blue. I heard they (Paul & John) were sticklers for having Ringo or George write or pass a song onto an album. This is what ultimately made “All Things Must Pass” a FANTASTIC album. They must have felt like shit after that. Till this day All Things Must Pass is one of the greatest albums of all time.

Glenn Wheatcroft Their achievements are legendary that in itself can become overwhelming. As was the case with John who would not be left alone by the press media about his anger. He was outspoken as was George the quiet Beatle until he had something to say, that he felt was important. It isn't easy being bigger than Jesus Christ!

He had an unhealthy amount of anger, from where who knows. He lacked gratitude to John, Paul, and Martin for letting him sing and contribute songs so much before he blossomed in about 1968. They used "Only A Northern Song," for goodness sakes, a song about not bothering to write a good song. Being a musician who's friends with Lennon and McCartney from childhood must mess with your head.

+Jim K Hey Jim. I was 15 years old and I remember people not being thrilled with the extended raga music portions. I guess we were all expecting a Beatles based show and were disappointed. I remember he played "In My Life" which is the only Beatles song I can remember. But I'm not the best judge as it was just exciting to be visiting NYC and being at Madison Square Garden and seeing a Beatle, he could have sang nursery rhymes and I would have been thrilled.

In my opinion, this (along with Wichita Lineman) is one of the only two musically perfect songs ever composed. Every chord flows from the previous, and into the next. Absolutely perfect.

George reminds of when I had the capacity to love and hope. I cannot being to put into words the intensity of my love for this man. He is so damn talented, wise, redemptive and really fucking sweet. "ONLY THE GOOD DIE YOUNG. . And they whose hearts are dry as summer dust burn to the socket." Wordsworth.

George was a deep thinker, who became kind of a zen master for our generation, it showed in his music, I remember the first time I heard the Beatles, I was 13, I had never heard anything that sounded so electric, it just blew me away, our sweet George.
