Labour didn't win, Galloway lost! I reckon a lot of those first time Labour voters would've either voted elsewhere or not at all but only voted Labour strategically to kick Galloway out. I wouldn't say George is arrogant. He is not, but yes, as they say, it's as important to be a good loser as much as a good winner. Galloway should have had the grace to show up. Here in Ireland, when a team wins an All-Ireland football or hurling final, the defeated side always stays on the pitch to pay respect and homage to the victory, George should have done that here. He did say that this was his last campaign, win, lose, or draw on his tv show, which will and has created more of an impact than being an MP any day, so politically, he has not, nor will not go away at all because of that show he has, which has a much bigger and wider exposure and audience than being an MP. He was barely an MP 4 months! very short indeed.
