George Galloway Exposes The BBC TV Licence Extortion Racket

“The BBC has no place in most of the activities that it is currently conducting,” George Galloway’s take on the BBC TV Licence fee.
It is high time we collectively stood up to the BBC and their extortion racket once and for all. If you choose not to watch BBC TV programmes, you are NOT a criminal. Whether the BBC like it or not, we have a choice when it comes to what we want to watch on TV. The BBC wants you to think that you have to give them £157.50 per year just because you own a TV set or watch videos on KZread. The fact is, you do not need a TV Licence if you do not watch or record television as it is being broadcast. This means that you can use a host of streaming services like Netflix, Amazon, KZread and many others - all without any need for a TV Licence. So please don't let the BBC fool you. Every single person who has ever been convicted for not buying a TV License, was convicted for one reason only - they accidentally answered their door to a TVL goon and then answered all of their questions. Don't be another victim of the BBC's intimidation, bullying and phoney search warrants. Save money instead by getting clued-up on TV Licensing. To save yourself £157.50 right now and every year from here on, the first thing to do is refuse to buy another TV Licence and get your TV via the many different streaming services available via the internet instead. It's as simple as that. By doing this, you will be helping the vastly growing number of people who want to see a swift end to the BBC's notorious extortion racket known as TV Licensing.

Don't often find myself agreeing with Galloway, but I agree here. The BBC has gone on too long, has got far too bloated, and has grown far too comfortable that no matter what they do, they'll get paid regardless. Time for that to change.

Very well said George, but why don’t you practice what you preach and cancel your tv licence? You stated in a previous vlog that you were forced to pay it, nobody is forced to pay it. The public need to know that is NOT illegal to not own a licence, just make sure you do not watch or record any LIVE broadcasting. Catch up channels are ok to watch except BBC iplayer. It’s a great feeling knowing I no longer fund this appalling corporation with all their vastly overpaid managers, celebrities and auto cue readers.

Back in 1984(?) I was watching a 'programme' on the bbc. Suddenly there was very disturbing Orwellian looking "NEWSFLASH", on the screen. Then a grandstand view of the SAS as they raided the Iranian Embassy with stun grenades before going in by a balcony. All perfectly arranged for a spectacle. I thought, "How did the bbc know that this raid was taking place?". It dawned on me then that there was no objectivity in British media; the bbc were informed and 'in on ' the portrayal of events. Since then I never trusted them. And now we know even more about their treachery against the World's people.

Because there were TV cameras covering the siege 24/7, as were ITV. All they had to do was switch over to live. Many reasons to hate the BBC, but covering the biggest news story at that time is not one of them!

Gary Lineker and Graham Norton will not become poverty stricken if they have to enter the world of competition, they are both talented at what they do. They are not the problem, but George is absolutely correct in his views on how the BBC must operate to survive. Broadcast television is a bad way to deliver, content the main reason apart from the BBC'S attitude is, a delivery system made totally obsolete by technology. TV doesn't need vast amounts of electricity or transmitters it can be got from commercial satellite. £4B waste electricity, land and people. The whole of broadcast media is environmentally unfriendly, the government can sell off all of the transmittals (what a waste of electricity) and land and people can watch TV by satellite. No more licence no more BBC throwing away the money, no more BBC sales person BBC shouldn't be employing anyone, £100m to do what they were supposed to do, is an admission of being biased, they are not paying for it they are getting it from the public. If there's a BBC in the future it must, pay for it self. Once the television was capable of doing something else the BBC should have lost their royal charter. BBC have annoyed so many people, if people want to carry on watching television they can via commercial satellite, the technology is cheaper than licence for a year, if you haven't got it may TV users do. And they're getting Greta Thunberg on a technology that is out of date, environmentally unfriendly.

Yeah we know but it’s the fact we have to pay a BBC license fee that’s the point. They should self fund. It’s the only thing you can go to jail AUTOMATICALLY air you fail to pay. Imagine going to jail for not paying you’re electric, gas, car finance etc etc. Even if u fail to pay taxes you won’t go to jail but the tv fee, now that’s an automatic sentence, it’s crazy & for something like a tv channel it’s like Netflix locking u up
