Poet, author and former KY Poet Laureate George Ella Lyon visited Beaver Creek Elementary in Topmost, KY for a writing workshop. Many of the participating students experienced devastating flooding earlier in the year and Ms. Lyon shared the message of "writing as a friend" during difficult times.
