The kick mentioned here is known as the “rack kick”- used in countless songs- usually trap/hip-hop whatever. It’s found in a lot of old sample packs and isn’t posh like they said lol

Not sure what's so mind blowingly complex about this that it can't be surmised in a 5 minute video. They probably produced this song in an hour. What makes it good is the writing - all of the sounds can be cranked out on serum with minimal processing 🤷♂️

Me when I think a song needs to have 100 instants of Serum and 50 envelopes to sound good
does anyone know what song this chord progression reminds me of , it feels so familiar i just cant grasp what exactly it reminds me of! especially at around 0:40 in the song when the filter opens up. theres some song with what feels like that exact chord progression and similar synth sound but i cant remember what it was HELP

Can anyone help me understand how the reverb detune is having such a big effect on the sound? My attempts at recreating have not been able to get it. I can't help but wonder about that super vhs plugin affecting that synths detune too
@MitchellPeterson88
20 күн бұрын
I actually (I could be wrong) think they were mistaken in this video to be honest - the detune sound is most likely coming from the SuperVHS plugin on the track and not the (very minimal) modulation on the reverb size. They also have a unison with a bit of detune on the saw wave.
so pc music is made on a macbook?
