You don't have to learn everything ...but remember few important era and period where events that have happened is important for world as well as indian Geography. For example, orogeny (mountain formations across the word- time periods) and Mass-extinctions. Best wishes 🌱😊

To make it easy to comprehend it has been done so...the word is "scale"... Higher to lower...like "zoom in" factor...as much as we zoom in the time we get into the finer details of that time.

Tertiary and quaternary is period or era?

Haha..While watching this video on Geological Time Scale you realised this 😀 I am going in sequence... finishing oceanography right now..then other parts of physical geography...after that will start Human Geography...it's better to be organised... Meanwhile you can watch some topics in the Playlist on Evolution of Geographical Thought and Perspectives in Human Geography... that's already available...🌱😊
