Probably my favourite vocalist of all time. He's still got it. Even after so many years !

This is so awesome!!!! I got to see Geoff a couple of years ago and had one of the best times of my life. Thank you for posting this.

It's so weird to see this. My brother was a huge Queensryche fan and dragged me to go see them during their Operation Mindcrime and Empire tours. I haven't kept up with them since then, looks like things have changed a lot.

I was into Queensryche back in the 80s. Then I fell in love with Operation Mindcrime. When they toured for Empire, they were headlining their own shows, and they were able to do the whole Mindcrime album in its entirety, with video screens. It was awesome! Incredible band live. Now, it's kinda sad.

This is a totally different line up. These kids weren't even born when OMC was released. That is not to discredit their talents, they put on a great show. Geoff Tate sounds as good as ever

He replaced all the guys in his band for this tour that he's been using the last few years. I think these guys are better musicians and sound better with the extra guitars for a fuller sound. The real voice of Queensryche! You guys agree? Rock on. 😊

I keep repeating the same thing over and over. Operation mindcrime should be made into a rock Opera or something that tells the story live. Hate to use the word "musical" but like a greatest showman type movie a story with the songs mixed in. It would be a smash hit. Green Day has done it.

Depends on the person. His high notes have been lowered with age. I think he’s handling it good

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there were singers even back in the 90's with Tate's voice who sounded better than he did. Chris Salinas and Lance King being just two examples.

@@yeahright302 Todd La Torre has done 4 albums with Queensryche over 10 years. That's hardly "posing"; the band just got a new singer. It happens. Tate wouldn't have been anything without Chris DeGarmo and Michael Wilton. Bands change all the time, just enjoy the music they make...or don't.

Looks like Geoff’s doing an octave lower for those high octave songs… this is dropped D. LaTorre can hit these. Listen to the original then listen to this. I miss the old lineup. His supporting band looks, max age 22.

If you think he's down an entire octave you know nothing about music. Even if this was tuned to D (which would only be a single tone) it is still mighty impressive live for a man in his 60s. How about checking a performance of Queen of the Reich from this year? Also, LaTorre is younger and is a poor man's Geoff Tate. This is not a Queensryche video. Certainly not a LaTorre video. Find something better to do with you life than hating on random vids of Geoff.

You Don't know what an octave is. Todd can't sing in original key as well, Geoff does a better job in this kind of songs.
