The worst part is when you rock up to a cache where muggles already are, so you go to get another one, then come back, and thinking the muggles are gone you start looking for the cache but then the same muggles come back again and obviously they're gonna recognize you... and you're just like "ahh ha ha ha oh no I have no interest in this area for any reason ha ha no no why would you think that just because I'm here again ha ha" and you walk away avoiding any kind of eye contact or acknowledgement.

Hah! You got muggled hard core! Kind of funny about the cache you had to misplace. Whenever a cache has been logged, a notice should go to the cache owner. So, when you placed your "Found it, but had to ditch it elsewhere do to muggles and stuff" log, they should've received a notice and read it! If they didn't read it, the blame kinda goes on them. Sure, it could've been labeled properly to catch their attention but they still should've read it. It's funny because when I was reading your posts that you showed I could actually hear your voice reading that in my head. GET OUT!!!! :)

That cache owner is rather prolific, so I imagine that he doesn't bother with reading the Found Its to his park and grabs. I know *I* look at the logs if I have trouble finding stuff, to see what the last few finders said, so I guess I just assumed that is what other people do.

I do the same thing. If I can't find a cache, the first thing I'll do is read previous logs. Those guys must just not bother.

Devar odd because those are very active cachet’s in this area.

I just do what I’m there to do because I know no one pays attention to my presence. Plus, when I’m trying to be discreet I realize I’m just drawing attention to my seemingly odd behavior.

That is exactly it. We are our own worst enemy in that regards.

It was night. I was on the edge of a busy shopping center. I was 20 feet in the trees by one of those road to nowhere nubs when I found it. The log was in a stiff plastic bag and the opening of this strange fake rock was smaller than the interior. After fighting with it for a couple minutes I moved to take it to my car. That's when I saw the police vehicle. I was definitely being watched. Who knows what they thought I was doing. They finally left and I replaced it. Left the trees. Standing by my car, I realized that was the wrong tree. I stepped forward to go fix it. Aaaand a car pulled into the road to nowhere nub. And would. Not. Leave. I left a note about what happened, describing where I left it in relation to gz and the surroundings and how sorry I was but I didn’t feel comfortable. Posted and left. Co was understanding. I felt like I was being followed for awhile. I am now reminded of the incident where an unmarked officer spotted us finding a cache and 2 police cars followed us to my geofriend's house and blocked the driveway. 😰😅

Well, thanks for throwing fuel on to my paranoid fire! These are the types of things that have me parking away from where I cache. How is it that people like us ever get in to caching in the first place?!?

@@Skimbosh they believed what we said about geocaching and then were more interested in whether the unmarked officer's identity was compromised. In retrospect I think I know which car it was and the driver was female. But I could be wrong. Parked at the end of the turn around, window rolled down, could see in multiple directions and quickly pull out and go down either road, she could have watched us from her mirrors or a hidden camera.
