Very cool! You can barely hear the fan growl. GE outdid themselves again.

Amazingly quiet, almost eerily quiet. It doesn't seem possible to see it take off w/almost no noise, and you are seated right next to that big engine! Great vid, thx, enjoyed!

Thanks a lot for your comment! Yeah it is one of the quietest airplanes. Not as quiet as the A350 or the A380, but still very enjoyable ;)

@Jake Heke , yes, sound insulation has definitely improved over the years, and so has advancing technology on making newer aircraft engines quieter but just as powerful as the older ones or even more so. I remember how loud those engines on those 707s from the 1970s and early 1980s were, and the VC-10s too, I think they were called, they were built like DC-9s except they had 4 engines, 2 on each side on the back of plane, the same narrow loud type of engines that the 707s had.

This was a bed time roaring sound.So silky and soft.That is the reason they call them the whisper jets.Excellent wingview footage.

Estas turbina la probaron en un 747 quitaron una pusieron este corrieron esta turbina sola las otras 3 turbinas apagadas esta turbina corrio el avion entero.

From the inside its sound is very similar to that of a GE90. That's no surprise. Beautifully engineered indeed, and the size of the windows makes it much more enjoyable than most of the other airplanes (except A380 and A350)!

A350 has smaller undimmable Windows and i dont like that. I flew on both once and i liked the 787 engines better. I also liked the Windows and the 787 itself because it is way more comfy. Thats my opinion on those two. A350 doesnt have all that 2015 tech wich it is supposed to have but the 787 has that 2017 tech already even tho it is from 2008!

Et bien je met un énorme like le décollage et tout simplement magnifique l'avion est ultra silencieux plus que le 350 et les paysage au décollage son super surtout quand ont est assis à côté d'une aile magnifique en tout cas super video

This engine was tested on a 747 ..they strapped one of these on the plane the engines 1 34 or 124 were off while this engine powered the whole plane unreal.

Engine didn't even go full power only partial throttle, ive seen the testing they did they strapped one of these engines on to a 747 this engine alone powered the whole plane alone the other 3 engines were never fired up from the taxi to throughout the whole flight insane that this engine is that powerful.
