Gentle 45 Minute Tropical Yoga Class - Five Parks Yoga

This 45-minute class includes a variety of postures that will relax your body and mind. This class is not fast-moving, and the “holds” are not long. Please make any adjustments and modifications as needed. Postures include cobra with neck stretches, child’s pose, and shoulder stretches in modified cow face pose. Following cat/cow and down dog, enjoy some gentle and short vinyasa flow (side bends, forward fold and cobra). Toward the middle of class, enjoy seated postures such as staff, forward fold and seated twists. The last portion of this class includes supine stretches for your spine and hips. Complete your class with legs up the wall pose and savasana.

I am six weeks out from Covid Omnicron that turned into pneumonia. This class helped me a lot because I have loss so much energy and breathe. This was a perfect yoga routine for me this morning - I woke up tight and achey, did this routine, and felt wonderful afterwards.

Oh Erin, what s great practice! It is everything I look for in my nightly yoga practice. And I've had an epiphany doing your class - My practice doesn't have to look like anyone else's practice to be just as real. I have some pretty serious health problems, and I am in 27/7, 365 days a year, and as a result i lean toward gentle hatha practices or restorative practices and steer away from power yoga or vinyasa. This sometimes makes me feel like i am not *really doing yoga*, but tonight I recieved confirmation in my heart that my practice is exactly as I need it to be and it is just as real as anyone else's. And it is not Vinyasa or Power that makes a practice - it is your ability to connect with your breath, body and spirit in a mindful way. Hi Erin, I have just recently discovered your work and am so thankful for your vast and growing library of gentle, deep and slow stretching workouts! Am a former runner who has been away from exercise for a time. This series is the perfect solution. Your peaceful voice, soothing poses and slow transitions from one pose to the next seems to really be easing my tension about being less flexible than I would like and overwhelmed about getting back to my former level of strength and range of motion. Namaste!

I like gentle yoga. I can strength train with another work out. (But this yoga does strengthen as well.) Did a 35 min cardio strength training today and will do this one again tonight.
