The Ghentians have accepted the stadshall as one of the many authentic buildings in their town. Ghent is one of the most beautiful places in Belgium because it is not a museum, it combines the old and the modern. Stubern, proud people with an open mind. Love your impression of this magic place 💕

Such an impressive structure, the Castle of Counts! It is ancient. And I wonder what was there before the wooden buildings of the original structure were built? Beautiful to see the architecture and river in Gent! I've never been to Den Haag, Brussels, Netherlands, anywhere in that region. Thank you, Selmar and Diesel! 💗

Dear Selmar thank you for the beautiful walk through Gent. The churches are so beautiful, I love old architecture, can you imagine the history behind such old beauties? I am not a fan of modern buildings and to me, they do not have character. There are quite a few folks walking around the city without masks something that is required where I live in Northern California. I am loving hearing the peak of the church bells as you are walking. Love and hugs to you and Diesel. Say hello to Tatiana, I’m sure you’re missing each other very much. I saw her video clip with the wonderful little ducks and they looked quite happy but a little annoyed with her being gone so long but it was nice to see them. Have a wonderful week Sellner. 🐶☮️🥰❤️😘🙏✨🤗🎼🍂🌾🍁🌹💐☮️

Hey Selmar, glad you enjoyed our beautiful Gent. And yes, there are quite a few churches but the tower that played Sinterklaas kapoentje is the belfry ;-) and the one with the two smal towers is the old postal building. Did you go to see 'the lightfestival' at night? That's what the moon you saw on the graslei was about. Hope you can join Tatiana soon and also look forward to seeing you back at La Lande or at your own chateau!

Its almost as if they want to mar the beauty of this scene of antiquity. Thanks for taking us along. It's a beautiful berg in spite of the ugly building.
