I don't believe you brought it up, and just to be safe, I want to point out that Ruina is a DIRECT sequel to Lobotomy Corp. Where one ends, the other begins. This is different from Limbus, which is a different storyline in the same setting. Now, Ruina does its best to ease in players who have never played Lobotomy Corp, but it is a direct sequel that takes place right after. If you don't end up liking how Lobotomy Corp plays, I'd very much suggest checking out the story through the Lobotomy Corp Archive's youtube channel. Also, the band that does String Theocracy does all the vocal tracks in Limbus. Mili is basically the official-unofficial-butstillkindaofficial sound of Project Moon. And really, Cassie Wei (the vocalist) has the ideal voice for the tone of their games.

Since it's a direct sequel, is it recommended to not play both at the same time? :O I was thinking of at least trying out LoR for the first time (after the first-time LCorp stream) -- and if I enjoy both, then I would play them back and forth via stream after. T^T

@@Trailblazer_Ririna Ruina does a very good job at bringing the player up to pace if they didn't play Lobotomy Corp, so I wouldn't say you can't play them at the same time. It does spoil things for Lobotomy Corp, but if you're fine with that, feel free to rotate between them. I just know a LOT of people who skip Lobotomy Corp entirely, which I think is a disservice to the story told in the game. I know a lot of people who advocate for skipping Lobotomy entirely, so this is more my counter push towards that.

Agreed that it's much better to enjoy the story of Lobotomy Corporation through playing it oneself, but it is also both a massive time sink as well as being incredibly difficult. Most players that pick up the first game don't even make it to the endgame essentially, much less actually finish the game's story and runthrough. Many fans recommend skipping it out of fear that it may ward off potential newcomers to the series, and instead suggest simply looking into the lore through other channels before or after playing Ruina, which has a much lower bar for entry.

The voice acting for Library of Ruina is absolutely fantastic. I hope for those looking to get the games on consoles that all the audio defects that happened are fixed, we lost a great scene's dialogue audio at one point and it's really saddening. That snap though is an iconic sound from the game, you absolutely will hear it frequently if you play. Regarding the simplistic artstyle for Lobotomy Corporation, it's actually a very interesting prospect of the game. If you do end up playing it, you're sure to learn why. Probably because this one is in real time for the main gameplay, a lot of it's content can be much more disturbing. Most players have something that probably left them traumatized, there's a reason the games have so many trigger warnings to them. Would absolutely put 'horror' as a label of genre for these games. If you don't know as well, there are other mediums directly related to the series, a (technically 'uncanonized') webcomic called 'Wonder Lab' between the LobCorp and Ruina, Distortion Detective that happens alongside Ruina, and Leviathan between Ruina & Limbus. If you do plan to pick up the games, want to really clarify that Lobotomy Corporation will demand from you skills akin to an RTS E-sports pro when it comes to the endgame, it is by far the hardest of the 3 titles since it's main gameplay is in real time unlike the other two which are turn based. The story, characters, lore and music though, it's all pretty worth it if you ask me, big motivation that keeps a lot of people pushing through these hellholes of games.

O_O That makes me a bit worried, but I suppose I'll go through with it in any case. Would it be okay to check out the webcomics after LCorp and LoR? Or is it recommended to read them in between those games (as you mentioned). Perfect. I need to get better as a gamer, so it's good to know that this game will push me beyond my limits! :3

@@Trailblazer_Ririna Sadly, it's the Steam version that has the issue. It's only one scene but the impact it had makes the silence really jarring when you get to it, feel bad for new players dealing with that. Really not sure why they haven't managed to fix it yet. As for the reading material, Leviathan you should wait until you finish Ruina same with Distortion Detective unless you wanna read it as you're playing it. Wonderlab you could read whenever since without context you won't know what it's spoils from what I remember, but probably best to finish LobCorp first just in case?

I'll stick with KR audio. XD Maybe I'll eventually check out the JP voices to see what it's like, but I really like to choose the game's original language for the audio if it's one that I don't need subtitles for. So KR games = KR audio; EN games = EN audio; any other game = usually JP audio (sometimes, EN). In this case, since the game is from Korea and I can understand what they're saying without subtitles, I'd rather choose KR. That way, I'll have a better understanding of the original meaning of what the story or characters are saying, instead of solely relying on the EN translations to understand. :3

Just thought it might be useful to know, but a Fixer is a general term that means basically mercenary in Project moon For some extra info, but I'm not 100% on every part of this, cause I'm still learning a few terms so there might be some mistakes, but I'm sure other ppl will correct me if there is The more important fixer terms to know (that I know off) is an office fixer, workshop fixer, association fixer and a color Fixer. An office fixer belongs to a fixer office, which is a small group of fixers, usually working under an association. an association fixer works for an association, a larger fixer group which usually specialize in certain work and combat strategies. For example the Shi association are assassins that tend to fight better when wounded, while the Liu are almost an opposite, focusing on a head on assult rather that syealth, and they have fire weapons (and fire clothing? They can do fire punches and kicks idk how thst works, but it's cool). Each association has it's own thing Workshop fixers work at workshops, places where weapons are made to be used by said workshop fixers, or sold to other fixers Color Fixers just mean highest rank. Their names are just their assigned color and a word. Like Vergilius in Limbus is a color fixer called the Red Gaze Also extra note. Fixers are graded from 9 to 1. A grade 9 is a new fixer and a Grade 1 is one of the best. And Colors are above Grade 1 Hope this can help cause terms like these took forever for me to learn what any of them were XD

About L Corp, the first 2 video you watch was Alpha version or always called as Legacy version next afer that is L Corp version being used now, but you can play Legacy version if you play L Corp at Steam by doing some configuration before play the game L Corp basically your kind of Simulation Management game but with more of extra multi tasking (like how you watch at trailer), ngl for first timer in L Corp, your reaction basically normal one, since my long time first time play got some ptsd and rest playing it like a month or 2 month, lol, but now I can enjoy it with those trailer situation Then about Library of Ruina (LoR) the first video (the one without voice) they show how battle system work, but that one getting scrap over and rework the system become like the second video, but final version of game using now still with second version with some adjusment UI to make it more easy to process in player mind LoR also got JP VA news recently, but for now it's exclusive for PS4 and Switch (maybe someone gonna make some steam MOD workshop to enable JP VA when the time is come) but both of VA is enjoyable and goergerous, I love it, just pick your poison 😂

I love the early trailers of lobcorp and LOR, they do NOT represent well what the final game is like lool. Project Moon was and Is a studio Indie. Lob corp was made with what, 10 people? So we get to see their games very early most times. Its also the reason you'll see the three of them have so much difference in genres and stuff, specially as their games succeed and the budget goes up. Heck, maybe since you know Korean you might have noticed that the EN translation was weird since they couldn't afford an actual translator lol So long as you read, you'll probably be fine in Lob corp. Its a management Simulator, so you do manage the 'bosses'(abnormalities), and ideally you don't want them to escape. It'll have a tutorial in the game that will get you up to speed, but you'll learn the most during the normal gameplay. Don't fear the 'Retry day' button, its almost a roguelike in that sense, since you are meant to fail, learn, retry and then succeed. Library of Ruina is one of my favorite games of all time. Period, its a MASTERPIECE. I love Roland, the protagonist, a lot. The gameplay will actually be a bit familiar, since its the base for Limbus (clash system). That being said: Library of Ruina IS the sequel to Lob corp. It WILL spoil you what happens during Lob corp and specially the ending. + the experience will be more...meaningful? if you play Lob corp first, since almost all the cast of lob corp returns. Though, I will also add: IF you happen to not like Lob. Corp a lot (its okay) then there is nothing wrong in watching a resume video and jumping into LOR directly if you really want to know more about the world of PM. It is after all a pretty Meaty game. Some people take 200-300 hours just to be beat it. looking forward to the streams!

Despite how it looks, Lobotomy Corporation is basically the only morally good force in the setting. I argue it's actually one of the best places to work in the setting too, but some may disagree. For example, they give all their employees access to expensive stuff. All the clerks have guns, which is notable because we learn later guns are incredibly expensive in the setting. It doesn't help a lot, but at the very least they can fight and sometimes win against the weakest monsters. I actually quite enjoy Lobotomy Corp as a game compared to most people, but I understand why it is frustrating. This is Project Moon's first game and you can see the serious flaws. I highly recommend mods, but maybe after you've played it for a bit. There are three mods (from nexusmods) I'd like to recommend, along with the base mod you'll need to use them: 1. More detailed info. It mostly takes the guess work out of grinding. It doesn't actually change any numbers, but it will prevent you from accidentally overgrinding the fun out of the game like many people do. 2. Free change appearance. Or any customization mods either. For whatever reason, PM made it so customizing your workers' looks (even changing their names) costs points. 3. I forget the name because I never used it, but this may be important for you. One of the abnormalities plays the Moonlight Sonata. While this song from the 1800s should be in the public domain because of some rigamarole some copyright trolls (Believe SAS) have been able to take advantage of it and they claim people all the time. One of these mods will replace it with copyright free music. As for the gameplay for both games, you have a lot of time to think through your actions. Ruina is turn based and in Lobotomy Corp you can pause and make orders while the game is paused at any time. The sheer amount of stuff to manage in Lobotomy Corp means there will still be chaos because there is a good chance you miss something but that's part of the fun. But if you are really careful, you can go weeks without anything of note really happening. At the same time, trying to play perfect really turns people off the game because they will reset every time something bad happens and it turns into a slog as they repeat the same days over and over again with nothing happening because they are playing perfectly. I'd say try and go as far as you can every time, the margin for error is much more than most people think. Ruina, on the other hand, lacks any major flaws and people enjoy it a whole lot more. Limbus Company is actually closer to Ruina, but heavily watered down. All battles are like focused encounters from Limbus. Rather than a set of 3 skills for a specific character you use a small deck of 9 combat actions that you can make yourself for every character, so it is very customizable. This game is where the "PM fans can't read" meme really got going, because it's very puzzle like in nature. Unlike Lobotomy Corporation, basically everything is laid out to you and failure carries very little penalty. This is where PM's game design philosophy of strategic losses really shines. You functionally can not win every interaction, and in fact are often a bit weaker numbers wise than whatever the most current fight is. Despite being a slower game than Lobotomy, it's much more tense because you always begin on the backfoot and build up to a cathartic finish. The advantage you have as the player is to control the details. As a basic example, you can redirect attacks to a tank character and have everyone on your team dogpile on a single enemy and try and get a numbers advantage. I could go on and on about the game design and how everything fits thematically and mechanically (something Project Moon tries to heavily emphasize), but it simply an amazing game.

Library of Ruina is one of my favorite games ever. The writing, music, setting and voiceacting is all really good. But as others have said, it 100% spoils the ending of Lobotomy Corperation. Now i know you want to play LobCorp, and you should, its a good game, but getting the actual true ending will be.... a challenge. You are free to give it a go, but i recommend playing at least until all the characters are introduced. If you feel like putting in the time you can do all of the realizations (you will know what those are when you get to them) before moving on to Ruina, Actually getting the true ending will require you to play the full 50 days and get EVERY abomination, its a lot of hard, frustrating work.

okay so... I'm gonna put a textwall here... I'm sorry about that but, I just want to express some thing, mainly about Lobcorp, that may or may not be relevant for you... feel free to skip my comment if you want, most of what I say won't even be that important or interesting in the first place so... yeah... here I go LC & LoR (Lobcorp is the original LC, Limbus is LCB, and supposedly, we will eventually have an LC2) yes they are hard, specially so with Lobcorp you see... the conntrol scheme is very simple... you use the mouse to select you nuggets (agents), and order them around... you also use the spacebar to pause the game and the Q and E keys to accelerato or decelerate the speed of the game... Simple... right? perhaps... too simple? you see... the main thing about Lobcorp's difficulty comes from 3 different areas, the biggest one unfortunately comes from the overly simplified controls... they are easy to learn and somewhat easy to master, but they royaly suck at fine tasks and precise navigation, something that, as the game progresses becomes a necesity... yes, multitasking with the abnos is also part of the 3 areas, but honestly... is more a matter of remembering which abno has what abilities... because you can count with the hands the amount of abnormalities that demand you to work with them or else wreak havoc the 3rd area is... performance.... there is a known issue with the game that has never been resolved, and that is constant memory leaks... unless your PC is somewhat good, the longer you play the game, the worse the performance gets, to the point the endgame has to be taken veeeery slowly or the game can just implode... it is the least severe of the 3 areas tho, so don't worry too much about it, we are talking about a game from 2018... PC have gotten much MUCH better since then, so unless you are using a glorified brick to play this things you should be ok still the game.... both games in fact... are LONG, most people bail from Lobcorp because being exposed to the control, the multitasking and the performance issues for a long time just fries the brain of most, and sometimes frustrates them But let me tell you something as one of the survivors of Lobcorp... It IS worth your time... the satisfaccion I got from getting the 100% ending was something else entirely (100% is not that hard btw...) and funnilly enough, when I started reading some of the things that are going on behind the game, some of the references, some of the inspirations and everything, I found out all the suffering and tedium behind the gameplay loop is.. well... not exactly intended.... but more or less canon in judaism, religion the game heavily draws inspiration from... Lobotomy Corporation ultimately teaches you about desperation, utilitarianism, the worth of a life and the lack thereof, grief, acceptance and many, many more things... but it is a journey that I personally think one ends up enjoying once it is finally over I won't tell anything about the story from both games... I can not stress enough how much I recommend you to be careful about that, on that front I think it is a good thing you don't use YT's live chat for the streams.... but those two games have some things that I assure you, can only be trully experienced once... the only thing I will say is: for ruina... left to right I think is the best... and for Lobcorp... you can not really reach the end without using the reset buttons, so don't be afraid of them, the 3 of them are your most valuable tool

THERE'S GOING TO BE A SEQUEL FOR LCORP?!? The game can just implode, due to performance issues?! O_O That.... makes me a little worried to hear. Oh nvm, I just saw the next part of your comment, so I guess I should be fine then. XD But if I do have issues and can't continue, due to performance issues, then I suppose I could just react to the rest of the story instead. You're definitely convincing me to finish the game no matter how much I might get frustrated over it. :3 I personally would like to have that journey myself as I do think that if I manage to complete the game, I might be able to grow as a new gamer. And I'll keep your tips in mind (or at least, try to)! ^^

@@Trailblazer_Ririna I've tried to for once keep it simple with the tips... Since I talked about some somewhat heavy stuff in this comment I hope you have fun with the games... And about LC2 Yeah it's one of the 2 games confirmed in the horizon... During PMs anniversary about 2Y ago they showed a diagram with their 3 games, Lobotomy Corporation, Library of Ruina and Limbus Company, and from limbus a bunch of lines branched to show the possibilities of future projects... Most of the branches of the diagram ended in question mark, but 2 of them showed something else One had a smoking pipe, symbolizing "Distortion Detective" a once novel-only that got so popular PM decided to cancel the novelization to turn it into a game (chronologically, Distortion Detective happens alongside Ruina) The other branch showed "LC-2", a game that has been teased ages ago but there's barely any information about it... Some people though Limbus was LC2, but after PM showed the diagram that theory went down the gutter XD I don't know from where it came, but there's a rumor the reason LC2 exists is because the people at PM as much as they are proud about LobCorp, they are ashamed of the metric ton of rough edges it has, and they plan to eventually revisit the game, or at least the core of the game, to make something more polished... But again, that's just a rumor I heard

I will be honest, lobotomy corp isnt what someone would describe as a "fun" game. Its possible that simple watching the custscenes and reading the lore then moving to library of ruina may be a good idea.

I think I want to try playing the game at the very least... I mean sure, it would be easier to watch the cutscenes and read the lore, but unless I'm having performance issues while streaming, I'd rather try beating the game myself! I feel like that would be more satisfying, even if it takes me a long time. :3

Wow haven't actually seen the early version of these trailers, or the beta versions of the games even. They've certainly seen a glow-up from then.
