I've thought about the paimon=Unknown God theory and it makes sense. But, I've also heard about the theory that Paimon is the younger sister of the Unknown God or the daughter of the Unknown God. The theory that Paimon is the Unknown Goddess's sister makes sense because every sibling pair in Genshin Impact are opposites of each other in both personality and elemental power. For example, Kaeya and Diluc are adopted brothers, and they are complete opposites of each other in their personalities and visions. Dilic is more serious and has a pyro (fire) vision while Kaeya is more childish and he has a cryo (ice) vision. Another example is Lumine and Aether. They are different in their personalities and powers. Aether is nicer than Lumine and his original powers are a bit stronger than Lumine's. It is also a theory that Aether's original power is the Light element. Lumine is more violent than Aether and her original powers are less strong than Aether's powers. There is also a theory that her original power is the Abyss element. If the theory that Aether wields the Light element and Lumine wields the Abyss element is true, then that makes them have opposite powers because the Abyss element is more like darkness, and light and darkness are opposites of each other. So Paimon could be the nicer and less violent sibling than the Unknown Goddess. Paimon's power could be related to space and stars because when she appears and disappears, little stars are shown when she does that.

But if the Traveler is the Fourth.... the Third is already dead.... and we don't have confirmation of the Second (as far as I remember) which one is he? It's true that his lore states that he "Descended" - but that doesn't immediately mean he is a Descender in the same sense as the Traveler. Also, Guizhong was said to Descend to Teyvat as well. She could be the Third.... with Traveler the Fourth... but it would mean Traveler Descended 6000+ yrs before. Guizhong Descended first, then Morax (we learn this during the Soraya quest in the Guili Plains.)

The most popular theory about Paimon is that she is the diminutive form of the Unknown God, who somehow got tangled up in her traps against the Travelers and seemingly banished herself to Teyvat. If this is the case, Paimon is a small, more innocent version of the Unknown God we saw at the start. Paimon claims to be "the god of protection," her reasoning being that she considers herself the Traveler's bodyguard. It is jokingly suggested that Paimon has more than one stomach, where one of them specifically contains liquids. The name “Paimon” is actually the name of a mythological demon king. Her in game abilities match those of this demon king, such as her ability to fly, breathe underwater (we found her underwater while fishing in beginning of game) and her knowledge of Teyvats past. The definition of Paimon's name: according to texts, in his own form, King Paimon is said to be a human-looking entity who wears a great crown and rides a dromedary. He is preceded by a whole host of ghouls playing trumpets and demons roaring, heralding his arrival. His face is feminine, while his body and persona is masculine. As a character shrouded in mystery, her age remains one of the game's many secrets. This lack of information doesn't stop the community from theorizing, though. Many fans believe Paimon to be ageless, possibly as old as the universe of Teyvat itself, given her vast knowledge of the world and its history. [I've done some research about Paimon, and this is what I had found. So essentially, Paimon is the Unknown god. Now, some people may believe that she is just there to help us, aka "Traveller". But we have so much proof that she is connected to the Unknown god, as during the game when Traveller meets Mona, she had said "There is no information about this floating little fairy's fate." And proceeded to question if Paimon is actually human (In a not-so obvious wording.) (But it's quite obvious that Paimon is not human, as she floats and if you look when she moves around you see space like particles floating around her body.) We don't have full 100% proof that Paimon is the Unknown God, but we have enough proof to say so. Yet her age is still very much a mystery, but what I'm guessing is that from some research Paimon could very well be as old as Teyvat, or older. (Mind you as we know Zhongli (The Geo Archon, Morax) is around 6000 years), and through some research I discovered that Teyvat could as well be from between 2000 to 6000 years, maybe older. So Zhongli could have possibly been there when Teyvat was being created.) So Paimon could have indeed been there, before Teyvat was made maybe even participated in creating Teyvat.] Maybe we'll find out the truth some day? Well, I hope that this theory is correct as its a fantastic story-line background. (Also I am aware that some people believe Paimon is the Primordial One, and that could be the truth considering she is pretty much a mystery, but this is what I believe, if you want me to look more in to it then I will, just comment it.) One more thing I promise, at 0:26 that video I am positive that she is Nahida (The Dendro Archon, Beur), or connected to her at LEAST. Alright, done now.

A year later, and Kokomi-as-the-Hydro-Dragon is proven false.... it is Monsieur Neuvillette....

I disagree with the paimon is the unknown god theory. Because, in the archon quest paimon is very afraid of losing traveler, or being lost by traveler since she cares so much for him, in the Raiden fight, Paimon tried her best to wake traveler up, in the archon quest of sumeru too when the landslide hit she did everything she could to save traveler. And how can she be so small? I know the exhuasted power theory, but she didnt even exhuast her power in the fight with lumine and aether. So yeppp

paimon may be not the unknown god but she may be the primordial one. You see she the primordial one has wings while paimon doesn’t but isn’t the point to having wings is to just fly? that is something paimon is capable also if you look at her design she has a symbol on her dress or smth and it’s called an omni. An Omni is something that is just all the elements also you dont get elements from the statue because if you look at how other people got there’s it neve mentioned “oh i touched a statue and got it” although this theory may not be confirmed it is indeed possible that she is the primordial one

The ningguan/guiziwhateverhernameis is one of the only theories I absolutely disagree and dislike. The person who made it when I first saw it was using it to justify zhongli/ningguan as a ship. The reasoning was completely flawed as well. Edit: no hate to your video, it was amazing lol
