Personally I believe paimon is related to the unknown god and celestia in some way, but is not the actual unknown god, as there is no reason for the unknown god to be tampering with the traveler. I do believe it’s possible that paimon got herself thrown out of celestia and had her powers sealed, similarly to the traveler, cause how did she end up drowning in the sea, when she can breath underwater? She can also fly, it’s obvious she didn’t fall in on accident, something must’ve caused her to be there

Um, if I remember correctly, Paimon doesn't fly- she floats, so that's why she can fall/drown

@@3rdvolition the sustainer of heavenly principles just enforces the heavenly principle’s of celestia onto teyvat hence why she helps destroy khaenri’ah from what we are aware of the sustainer hasn’t made gods to follow her order or can’t whether that is from celestia not allowing it or her I ate lack of power compared to phanes and celestia. My theory is that Paimon is the shade of time.

I think that paimon is the sustainer of time for a few reasons 1. She reverses time when we die 2. When we go to the main screen paimon pauses time as you can see the world stopped although she herself is moving 3. We can change time due to her power. I think she needs our help because of her current form her sister (the unknown god) they may have had a fight and she lost (hence why she is in her current form and the traveler found her in the water). And she wants to help us overthrow celestia/make the world better and she may also feel for keanriah (idk how to spell it) and she may help both the abyss and overcome Celestia.

There's a theory that covers a lot of theories that said paimons actually the original god she might as well also be stronger than celestia bc on the game icon its paimon on the genshin impact test it has paimons crown on it and she has similar symbols to ley lines her crown also symbolizes the Devine tree or something like that and the fact that paimon knows a lot about the gods and there's also an achievement to celestia that says bring paimon home if you looked carefully and not just play the game and explore to the pillar in dragon spine in the fight with the unknown god she broke a pillar however that pillar is the one that actually fell in dragon spine for all we know paimon possibly fell from that pillar into the water there's one paimon theory that covers all the paimon theories

I am inlove with Isaroth lore and all of these comments and the reasons why Paimon is believed to be Asmoday is ridiculous, but I suppose we all have our theories! Also hoyo confirmed that she isn’t evil so the plot wouldn’t go far that’s why I don’t think she is. Plus even if she was I do think their might be deeper lore on what Paimon is once we uncover all of the archons. I think they will seriously save this till the VERY end.

Paimon is the daughter of the unknown god , The unknown god turned her into a small fairy looking human since she disobeyed her by helping kheanriah , paimon now only has a few of her powers due to her mother taking them away and ceiling her from talking about about her mother .Her mother uses paimon to also keep eyes on the traveler since paimon is the only person in the entire game that has the ability to change time .

my theory is that paimon was created by the unknown god after she sent the traveler to teyvat to watch and interact with him because she can't interfere with teyvat once he's already there. so he found paimon after he woke up

POV: The unknown god is actually the bad side of paimon and paimon is actually the good side of the primodial one. Atleast thats what is think so. But the good side has forgotten who she was only remembers things in teyvat.

you know about the theory that aether/lumine is from the honkaiverse, yaps, aether and lumine are from another world and they probably come from the honkaiverse (but maybe they are from another world), mihoyo also said that genshin impact and honkai impact it's related, these two worlds still have something to do with the imaginary tree and in this theory aether and lumine are given the task of exploring other worlds but they are stopped by unknown god. after reading this theory i have the opinion that paimon is one of the honkai (maybe a honkai beast/a valkrie) , but this is just my opinion i'm not sure myself

The symbol on Paimon's shirt is called triquetra, this symbol it is also an imaginary tree symbol and symbol of herrscher of dominion puppet although the symbol is quite different from the triquetra on Paimon's clothes, and also one of the symbols on Elysia's clothes is pretty similar to the symbols on Paimon's clothes, paimon probably came from somewhere in the imaginary tree.

My theory for paimon is that she was never part of a gods will, saying that she was part of khannerian royalty. We don’t know much about the khannerians. We know of one khannerian who also has very unique powers quite simillar to paimon all in all. Dainsleiff. As he said he got his powers due to the gods curse apon khanneria to turn them all into monsters. Dain was able to keep his mortal body though, the same thing may have happened to paimon. Whilst paimon was running away from the face of threat she was caught in this “curse” to gain power she never knew of and fell into the sea for maybe atleast a few years to be fished up by the traveler not knowing who she is but knowing the world she was found in. And for people to say the primordial one, it is more so likely the primordial beings are the siblings. In a yin Yang version of course. I don’t know why but I feel the twins were some what inheritance to some type of power from the gods. (Also I got royalty from k’hanneria because of the fact that there was never a god to rule k’hanneria in the first place, If that’s so then who guided them to rebel against the gods?? The only answer to that is royalty. And it’s also obvious because dainsleiff served in a part of khannerian royalty, so it makes sense t just to why there was royalty back then)

I think that paimon is the unknown god (in my opinion) bc in honkai impact there’s this Character called Kiana Kaslana and she looks a lot like paimon (ofc since honkai and genshin r similar the characters are too) and this Kiana has a god form which is a hersherr that looks EXACTLY like the unknown god. She was possessed and was the villain for some time, which means. what if paimon and kiana are the same person but its a different universe but the unknown god and kiana’s hersherr form are the same person. What if paimon was being possessed then when she awakened and goes back to normal kiana bc she’s now in a diffrent universe, “kiana” is paimon.
