@Pedro OrtegaFacts and I'm an anime viewer myself, some to most of the anime I've watched during my lifetime can't compare to primal. Honestly I Wish Anime and West shows in general can get it together and create masterpieces like Primal, Although that isn't everyone's taste but I would love to see more shows along the lines of primal or as interesting storytelling Because at this point most shows in america are mainly Sex jokes, unfunny, and unoriginal stuff that other shows have previously made. Heck even anime is full on diving into a trend where it's just Isekai and harem stuff.

@Pedro Ortega Yeah, Primal is such a good show, that I also am scared that if any sequel were to be created that it'll probably take away the vibe that the first season established but then again... tartakovsky wouldn't let that happen. Oh yes! Ive been such a big fan of his shows From Samurai jack to dexter's laboratory. Every single one I've loved alot since a kid now that I'm older I'm seeing primal created by the same guy who made my childhood, That just felt awesome to me. @@joshuagonzalez4183 not really the real deal. Those dogs suck at pack hunting or management. If a big hairless ape ravages one of your mate with one punch you regroup and run the fuck back. Don't jump in his fucking knuckles. Most species we see in primal would probably have disappeared even if Spear and Fang didn't massacred them ala doom.

I really love spears, improvisation, and adaptability. If anything back in his era, he would’ve been a genius.

In Season 2 they both had another war cry. When I seen them do it a second time for a different kind of experience. It really hit HARD, just as much as this scene! It also gave me chills just how Badass it was!

Genndy referred to them as "The Primordial Dogs" they're probably intended as a common ancestor for a lot of wolf-esque species. All answers as to what these beasts are is technically right, as they're really supposed to invoke the idea of a scavenging/pack-hunting canid

They are more of a primordial version of todays African wild dogs and might be a relative as they have the painted like markings on the legs

I think the hyenas were Ictitherium; jackal-like members of a group known as "dog hyenas", relatives of modern hyenas that weren't adapted for bone-crushing but for a more dog-like body plan and niche.
