We moved a genie SLA 20 but forgot to put the mast lock in place and now the forks wont go all the way down. How do we fix it.

I have a sl-10 super genie lift that is not working properly , when I crank up forks the mast starts to rise up before the forks get to the top of the mast, anyone ever run into this issue?
