I did Visit Switzerland on my way to Germany for A 10 day castle Tour along the Rhine River that was Absolutely Magnificent !!! & Yes I stayed in A Castle apparently the Beds were way to small for someone over 6 Foot & I Questioned how did they know what a Level was or How anyone Got up & Down those narrow Stairways . Still it was Great Fun taking the Ferry up & Down the Rhine River enjoying the Many towns & Shopping !!!! As always the like button 🔘 has been Illuminated 😁 🎄⛄❄️✨🎁🕯️👑🇺🇲. I loved Christmastime in Europe. I remember in some Towns they would make bonfires of logs stacked up 6 meters high. The Tradition here in NM, USA was stacks of wood less than a meter high (Luminarias, that came here with the Spanish Colonists in the 1600's) on Christmas Eve but after the Americans aquired this territory after 1846 they built there houses out of Wood that were not fireproof unlike the Adobe Brick homes and churches that never burned. So now we place Farolitos (Paper Bag Lanterns). Joyeux Noël et bonne gueule de bois.

The horror music you added during the dough-slicing made me laugh. I used to make a 🍓 strawberry cookie 🍕 pizza. Use cookie dough, cooked to a big round cookie. Spread strawberry jam for red sauce. And strawberries sliced for pepperoni. Maybe creme cheese for the real cheese. Good luck! Lol

The chocolate pots were pretty unique on the pricey side but would make a marvellous gift , the pastries looked very sweet , it's nice you can pick ones from across europe. Crepes are always delicious , the 🐝 have been busy this year , the lady deserves a 👋 for doing so many , they must be rolling in the money. I dunno if they had any Kirsch cherry tarts or smooth swiss buttercream chocolate meringue but there also must haves. It's so cute having the ponies around , they reminded me of the Dartmoor 🐎 ( a little bigger) that will be struggling now that winter's arrived. It would have felt more Christmassey if it was 🌨️ as long as it didn't get in the way of your driving. I wouldn't mind visiting the Treille promenade & St Peter's 🕍 where you can look out over the city & relaxing on the world's longest bench , spring probably the best time to go when the chestnut trees are blooming. There's nothing like a brisk country walk to start the day , the Alps faraway looked sensational , I'm envious your so lucky to have them on your doorstep , I would have to cross over to Wales or go up to Scotland for such views. Yeah!!! it's Christmas cooking with french fry 😋 I'm digging the splendid 🦌 Jumper , Rudolph would approve , a Xmas 🍕 for breakfast a new one on me , it doesn't need to be perfect for your first time , it's the effort that counts , I liked that you tried making tree's rather than something easier like a red pepper wreath shape , anyway it's refreshing that your filming in the kitchen for a change. I think it would be a good idea like you mentioned awhile ago to do more cooking with your mom ( she could start her own channel) if you have the time , maybe shorter videos with recipes descriptions & tips , everybody could send in some suggestions from around the world if you like. Another wonderfully edited blog , I wouldn't expect anything less , superb music , I always like the Yule anime 😺🧦 . On a added note it's great that you popped over with friends to London again , it's kinda like being close to America having a shared history & similar music & so forth , I do know what it was like before social media took over, without any of the pressure , when you could be more carefree , chitchat over the phone & just send someone a postcard , you can still send out the occasional pic (free time on Facebook anyway. Marie, it sucks that the Christmas market was less than desired. I always enjoyed going to the one in Frankfurt that's by the Cathedral downtown. It's also not very big, but there were a lot of handmade crafts. The next time you're in Switzerland, head on over to Lucerne and see the lion carved out of stone by the lake. It's incredible. The town also has a wooden covered bridge that's in the shape of an L. I'm not sure why they built it like that, but it's interesting. The bridge has a. bunch of interesting artwork in it as well. It might just be a fun experience for you if you happen to be in that area! The Christmas pizza was an awesome idea. I've never thought to make those before, so it's fun seeing it attempted. The best part is that if you like all of the ingredients, you know you're going to like it. It does seem to me like we need to get you into more cooking. It's such a crime that so many people don't know how to cook, and it's such a rewarding thing to learn because you can feed family and friends. Perhaps it's something you may consider getting more experience with. Here in the US, there are cooking classes people can take that teach new skills and they don't even cost that much. It might be fun for you to see if there's something lighthearted like that available in France. I think it's awesome that you've gotten to go to so many places and see so many things. One thing you may consider doing is a video where you just talk about the things you got to see and experience while you were with your college friends. It'd be interesting hearing what you focused on and what parts of those places got your attention and why. It's always fascinating to see what things you focus on and what things you don't, and then WHY you did so. Lastly, I'll leave you with a number thing. Numbers always seem to pop out at me, and here in the US we write our dates differently. We do the month first, then the day, then the year. Using this formula, on 31 December, it'll be December 31st, 2023. Or, in numbers, it'll be 123123! This will be the only time in your life that that will happen! Enjoy it and I hope you have an awesome New Year's Eve and an even more awesome New Year!

1400 crepes is actually a low number. Go to the Bryant park winter village in nyc once and that’s crazy busy. It’s like 7000 crepes per day over two stands and that’s throughout December into January. One Japanese and one French style. Bryant park is the busiest winter village in all of America and it’s all small businesses that don’t have a brick and mortar store yet, they all have a presence online but not in a physical location. New York is known for the crazy volume of things because of the sheer amount of people. Florida has a single winter village that I know of and that’s the Celebration winter village near Disney but it’s kinda small but we do run snowp (fake snow made from soap bubbles) it looks ok plus Disney does it too and if the machine breaks it turns into a fun foam tidal wave that gets a building clean.

Mont Blanc is a dessert too you know it’s a celebration of everything chestnut in a pastry. It’s not the easiest thing to make because of the different forms you have to get the chestnut into. But worth it. Originally created by Japanese bakers hoping to create something with leftover chestnuts. It is a beautiful dessert that takes hours to make. The Japanese have already overtaken the French in dessert making and won the world pastry cup twice already. Just in 5 years. It’s a bit crazy you know.

Baking and cooking are different things. Baking requires precise timing and the right conditions, cooking usually has some sort of replacements that people use. You can at least replace ingredients as needed while baking has to be precise to the letter. That’s why I’m great at cooking but terrible at baking.

Nothing quite like a Marie cooking video. Kind of a disaster, but not really because the result tastes good!
