The topic of Genetics is quite interesting, but for understanding it, we need to first know the Units of Heredity. What are these units? What are the Factors that carry information from one generation to the other? Chromatids? Chromosomes? Genes? DNA? Or all of these? Let us get to know that in this video!

Chromatin = DNA + RNA + Histone Proteins Chromatid = Newly copied DNA attached to the parent DNA in the Chromosome structure Here, instead of using the term “Chromatin”, we have used “Chromatid” because, we are describing that the cell is about to undergo cell division. This means, the DNA is already replicated. Assuming that the replicated DNA will gradually undergo condensation, and then form the classical chromosomal structure, we have directly mentioned the replicated genetic material as Chromatid. Also, we have mentioned that the thread like structure is chromatid here, because we have shown an image of the threads before condensation. Thus, tangled threads of DNA, which are newly replicated, but not yet condensed are addressed as “chromatids” here! Also, as we are assuming that the DNA is replicated, we have shown the Bivalent structure of chromosomes, where the 2 sister chromatids are attached to one another. With this, we have reduced the number of intermediate steps that are a part of the topic “Cell cycle and cell division”, and not Genetics. Hence, the term “Chromatid” instead of “Chromatin” which even helps us show the bivalent chromosome structure for better understanding!

So is it like this? ⬇️ 1. Chromatin - single stranded 2. Chromatid - daughter chromatids i.e. *'double stranded'* 3. Chromosome - higher order of DNA organization Do tell me whether I'm wrong or correct, its really urgent

This is a fantastic approach to teaching; if she had been my teacher in high school, I would have undoubtedly pursued a career in biology.
these videos simplifies what our teacher says in class by a lot. I feel like I learnt more in 5 minutes than 1 hour in class....
Dont memories team....you can make anyone doctor in just a year i can say that...i am Civil engineer and for govt exams ...I have to learn the subject which I hated the most and doesn't like at all....but you people are Best teachers I came across till date...I cant thank you people in words....thanks a lot ❣️
This is so helpful, some sources say that the whole thing is the other way around, but this video cleared up all my doubts. Thank you so much for making such well-explained videos.😁
Chromosomes are intracellular structures that contain DNA and many genes. A gene is part of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) that contains a code for a specific protein that functions in one or more types of cells in the body (see Genes and Chromosomes for a discussion of heredity). Genes contain instructions that determine how the body is supposed to behave. With the exception of certain cells (for example, sperm, egg, and red blood cells), each human cell contains 23 pairs of chromosomes, for a total of 46 chromosomes. There are 22 pairs of non-sex chromosomes (called non-sex chromosomes, numbered chromosomes, or autosomal chromosomes), and one pair of sex chromosomes. Sex chromosomes determine whether a fetus will become male or female; A pair of X and Y chromosomes give birth to males (XY), and a pair of X and X chromosomes give birth to females (XX).

@@kaushikkr.sarmah82 Yes, Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is a molecule that contains the biological instructions that make each species unique. And Genes are short pieces of DNA that carry specific genetic information. Genes are actually segments of your DNA.
I owe you heartfelt gratitude. Thanks for the detailed info on this, really removed my confusion!
