just means they put more effort into getting the camera shot of the start looking correct. good on Cammisa and crew for the attention to detail, but remember the results of these races are figured out using vbox or similar and then the filming is done to reflect those results while making it look exciting.

Also, have a great feature where battery will pre-condition for a charge. However, this only works if NAVIGATING to a high speed charger and takes up to 30 mins. I was getting extremely low charging rates of 45-70Kw on 350Kw charger. So, slow charging, full rates. My battery pre-conditioned only one time and was able to double that speed. Still well below summer charging speeds

No matter how fast you may think your brain can think, reality still moves at the same pace, and your brain is better at processing information at that speed, so you may consume more information overall by watching stuff at 1.25-2x speeds, but the impact of what you saw and the understanding of the content is probably being diminished by doing so.

GV60 is only one here with rimac's 800V architecture, just like Porsche and Performance Audi.. it's technologically superior to BMW and Ford Mustang when you look at re-gen figures, charging speed and temp/voltage control... I can't believe I'd ever see a day I'd say that... and it's not even at the limit of the architecture, EV GT6/Ioniq 5 N is coming with higher output and unlike other EV's they expect the car to do full lap around nurburgring without battery pack overheating (thanks to 800v system), a feat which Tesla Plaid and M3P can't do.... and you gotta go to 100k + EV like Taycan or Etron GT to achieve As a Korean I just want to say this- Korea numba 1 🇰🇷🇰🇷

Genesis is really impressive in every aspect besides the Hyundai dealership image and experience. The current BMW EVs are still on CLAR, their existing architecture for ICEs, but they will be on new platforms designed for EVs starting 2025. So, expect them to catch up if not jump ahead of the competition by then. Good luck to the flailing software company (Tesla) now that the real automakers are serious about making EVs.

  • @revaddict

Yeah the Tesla Plaid has the 2nd fastest production EV time with an overheated battery right? The only reason it is second fastest is because Porsche a slightly modified Taycan wearing Pirelli P Zero's less than a month ago.. Also the Plaid was limited to 163 mph and not running P Zero's.. And the 800V architecture means nothing when the Porsche Taycan Turbo S had it's ass handed to it 4 times in a row in by the Model 3 in the Japanese EV race series..

@@revaddict Well Japan EV series, Taycan was running a faster laptime by 2 seconds in all the races and only had issue after 5-6 laps while being stock, Model 3 P had extensive modification for cooling. (Also 1-2 second difference for 1 model 3, other model 3Ps were least 5-6 seconds lower than Taycan) 5-6 laps in fuji is around 1.5 laps in nurburgring and basically a session in regular trackday. Also, after the mid 21' patch, stock M3 P would only have around 3-6min full attack capability on track before going into battery protection mode, so 15-20min in Taycan is marginally better, despite this being their first EV model, thanks to 800V architecture. Also, what's the point of being 2nd fastest EV when you overheat in the middle of the lap? It just shows that performance is not repeatable. I'm just saying, Porsche/Hyundai charges battery faster, has higher regen, and overheats less quickly despite spending significantly less R&D and having less EV development exprience due to 800V system.

  • @hyacia

@@revaddict The Plaid time was set with a modified car. You can see from the onboard video that the driver was lifting at parts. Could have been to keep the battery pack or brakes from overheating, or both. I'm not sure what your point is besides blindly defending Tesla. Neither car is perfect, but Teslas definitely have overheating problems. Just compare 0-60 or 1/4 mile time dropoffs after just 2 or 3 runs for any Tesla vs a Taycan.

I get that EV's are the inevitable future for many of us, and the ones here make for fast trips to Costco and grandma's house and insulated drives to work, which is realistically what most people are doing with their cars. And the Corvette wouldn't be used for those purposes (necessarily) and is here for some contrast and comparison. But the sounds that Corvette makes gives me goosebumps! And has the appropriate license plate to go with those noises. I'm not ready to let go of cars that elicit some kind of emotional response just yet. 🤷‍♂️

And that’s even before you factor in the huge cost to keep most anything German on the road once the warranty expires. And kudos to the Koreans for challenging even Tesla. One has to wonder what happens when say Honda catches up in this EV performance game?

Thank you for another great video! --- 1. It's the GV60 Performance. 2. The GV60 Performance starts at $68k vs. $57k for the Model Y Performance. 3. GV60 Performance has 235-mile range vs 303 for the Model Y Performance. Can't be sure, but considering Genesis is Hyundai's you can assume that the battery will have similar performance to Hyundai EV batteries in the cold: -20%+ vs. -15% (verified) for Model Y. Higher price, lower range, similar acceleration performance. Nope, still not able to compete with Tesla.

Competition is a great thing, and having a wider selection of top notch cars can only help matters. I was annoyed with the first round of Tesla "alternatives" because so many of them were crap, or at best disappointing. Now we're seeing some real, high quality and desirable alternatives. This is great! And it's only going to get better.

I love the way the BMW looks. The boxy front end gives it a nice stance. Anyways, I don't care about speed. Give me something that is fun to drive and make great noises. My favorite car that I ever owned is a 2000 Civic Si. 1.6l 160 hp, 8000rpm (8200 cutoff), under 2700lbs, 5 speed short gearing (3rd gear 88mph) no abs, no traction control, great handling and VTEC KICKED IN YO. A non obnoxious exhaust and a cold air intake made all the right noises. It gave the sensation of speed without actually going fast. Same with my non turbo RX7 FC, around 150hp RWD manual. The rotary sang. We're all too lost in this speed war. Look at Camissa, he drives a e30 wagon, a Rabbit, and 190E 2.3 16, neither are what you would call fast, but I'll bet my life they're more fun to drive than anyone of these EVs.
