My Aunt Paula prayed for 40 years ,for someone, anyone from my Uncle's Hindu family to be saved. After 40 yrs God chose me, the only girl child, rest all sons, from the Tandon family to be saved and come to Christ in repentance . Today my husband and my daughters are all baptized and saved in Christ . I'm so thankful to Christ that He raised up my Aunt Paula to pray for someone ,anyone to be saved from a Hindu family. Thank you. Jesus.

This was good. The two brothers, Esau n Jakov, did seem to have very different temperaments. One was a man's man 👨 cooking up much game, the other a quiet man. In Hebrew, this denotes being a 'complete man' even wholesome.

As Esau n Jakov emerged from the womb, the struggle that had been ongoing came to a climax. Esau was born first, while his brother, Jakov, followed with his hand on his heel. Yakov can not mean 'supplanter' but most likely 'hand on (the) heel'. I am reminded that Yehovah declared to Rebekah that the younger Jakov would be the preeminent one, not the older Esau. How has the notion persisted that Jakov, from his birth, tried to supplant Esau by stealing in small amounts the birthright and the blessing? Yehovah had already determined the birthright, and the blessing didn't actually belong to Esau. That this belief has prevailed through the centuries is fascinating given the source of this accusation: the one God said He hates - Esau. "And Esau said, 'Is he not rightly named Jakov? For He, Jakov, has supplanted me these two times. He took away my birthright and now look, he has taken away my blessing! (Genesis 27:36')

Why do people pray over and over about the same thing? Don't you think HE heard us the first time. Be still and know that HE is GOD. We are to keep praying but not about the same thing over and over. Didn't JESUS teach us how to pray? HIS will be done. HE knows what we need so in this manner pray. We ask GOD for things that are against HIS will most of the time when we tell HIM what we think we need.

Aren't we supposed to persevere in prayer? Yes! He hears us the first time, but it could also be said that He knows what we have need of even before we ask. I heard a pastor say, prayer changes us. It teaches us to be as the persistent servant who made petition at the Temple until it was realized. For six straight months we have been making petition for suitable work and have at times felt discouraged as it has not been forth coming. Still, I am convinced we need to persist in prayer.
