    There are evil spirits over NYC region. I don't notice it while living here, but if I leave for several weeks and drive back in, something heavy and dark just falls on me. I can't give an exact location, as it's not the actual city line. I used to experience this as a very young child, but soon learned to keep my mouth shut because people thought I was crazy.

    Marie Katherine I feel the same way about where I live. People around here have the hardest time maintaining friendships here. I have come and gone over the years, and I have a much easier time making friends and keeping up with the friendships from out of the area than I do with the few friends I have here. It's been this way all of the years I have been here.

    Parish priests can't teach the whole truth because they stand to lose "offended" parishioners, or so the theory goes. (But I believe parishes are losing parishioners for failing to teach the Churches' teachings, as well.) And for today's churches, even Protestant churches that try to adhere to biblical teachings, " offense" translates to loss of financial support. More rarely, for some parishes, it also can attract negative media publicity, which can cause even more disastrous results. That's why we need religious like Fr. Ripperger to "tell it like it is", to be direct with us, to lead us from the error that endangers our soul. Thank you, Fr. Ripperger.

Why isn't this addressed more in mainstream Catholicism and why is it so hard to locate Deliverance Ministry in the Catholic Church? UNFORTUNATELY, because most people are selfish, tax HAS to be done. Even though we have taxes, we have still allowed a group of billionaires to arise due to the suppression of the worker's wages which shuttles all the wealth they create UP to the millionaires and billionaires. But Father Ripperger is absolutely right. We, as Americans, became generally selfish, shared with no one or shared meagerly while congratulating ourselves of how "generous" we are.

    @dhyowiify, L.P. seems very suspicious and time-consuming. When someone asked me for discernment, I recommended to a person who is a new Catholic to spend time reading the Bible instead of non-approved "mystics." Reading the Bible, especially Epistles, teaches us how to seek God's will. It creates a foundation. In the New Testament, we are warned against substituting biblical truth for novelties, that are called ear-tickling theories that take us away from God's truth. (I tried reading some of L.P. or listening to someone read her material. I felt "drawn in" to a "mystical" experience. But sometimes it is not possible to separate the occult from true mysticism.) When priests support something not approved, we probably don't need it. Best to stay away from controversial or "esoteric" private revelations. Just my opinion.

    I'm curious, if a person starts a new family if they still "belong to the family of origin in the sense of parents have authority over them to use binding prayers. What if a person marries within the church a noncatholic, does the husbands authority reach over his wife. And finally what happens when someone becomes a religious, do their parents maintain their authority and whether the connection is still there?

  • @theoorlando6476

    Filip I’d love to know the answer to this ! I do think even in mixed marriages the authority of the husband is still recognized, but your question about becoming a religious... obedience transfers to the prior / prioress / abbot etc - right ?! That is part of why a new name is taken during final vows ?

    *The one million question that nobody can't answer*: IF God KNEW about what fallen angels will do to the human being why did he allow it? And why did he have to give away his own son to restore what he cause in the first place?

    Most of our sins are our own fault. Fallen angels are like billboards on the freeway. They tempt us to do evil. God limits fallen angels on their influence on us souls. However, he has allowed fallen angels more influence these past 150 years than ever before and that is a mystery.

  • @petratical

    @petratical

    Why did he have to give his own son to restore what he cause in the first place? He did not cause it, we did. When God created man, He created him with a free will, one that could choose between good and bad. He did not make robots, he created complex beings, such as we are. Since God is Holy and can only fellowship with Holy things, God had to send His own flesh and blood to redeem, buy back, His fallen creation. The only way for his own son to be pure enough for this was to bring him in to the world through the virgin birth, as the child carries the fathers blood, not the mothers. Jesus partook of his mothers flesh but received his fathers (Gods) sinless blood through the Holy Spirit “over shadowing” Mary (Luke 1:35). Preceding this great event (we celebrate at Christmas) God chose a people to eventually bring forth Jesus linage, called the Jews. They sacrificed animals for their sin atonements. It was elaborate, but necessary to be right with God, proving the way God would ultimately have to deal with sin of the world, John 3:16,17 showing Gods love for His creation, all the “whosoever s” of the world. No, it is not always the devil and his demons that trouble us, as it is the world and the flesh. These things (and the devil too) are over come by “having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” by being partakers of the “divine nature” (2 Peter 1:4)! This new nature or “new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17) that those that believe, receive from God at “rebirth”. By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him (Jesus)… 2 Peter 1:3.

    There are mysteries of the Faith you have to accept, that's the entire foundation of Faith. Trying to ascertain God's motives is a result of pride/hubris and will only lead to evil. I know, because I went down that road, and it lead to putting all of my faith in science, then atheism, then nihilistic despair, and then eventually the occult. You will never be able to satisfy these types of prideful thoughts, it will only lead to turning away from God/the truth.

    According to Fr. Ripperger, when a child is adopted, the adoption is not complete and the child continues to be the spiritual child of his biological parents. That's a Muslim concept of adoption, not a Christian one. He contends that if someone commits a sin, this sin is transmited through the bloodline of his/her descendants, just as genes are inherited. THIS IS NOT SOUND DOCTRINE. That the background of a person and the actions of those that RAISE A CHILD have a strong influence, yes, this is true. That the sins and bad actions of those that raise a child may have consequences, yes, this is true. But this pertains only those that raise a child, not the biological family if he/she does not know them. That genes give people a certain temperament and ability and that this is inherited from someone's biological family, and that some tendencies to disease or addiction can be inherited, yes, this is true. But sins are not contagious, they can't be inherited, no modern human being is Adam. No human being is punished for the sins of his parents.

    Sorry, this is sound doctrine. There is no adoption in Islam, it is not allowed. "for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments." Exodus 20:5-6

    @extradelux8088

    So, here's this random internet user's take on the matter: the first problem with this idea is based off of your understanding of doctrine. I don't know what you're referring to when you mention sound doctrine, so you might just be looking for information in the wrong place, or maybe missing some important bits. Secondly, I'd recommend being careful about replacing theological concepts with psychological ones altogether (even though that isn't exactly what you're doing here); however, what you are doing is settling for a psychological explanation based off of a misunderstanding or a lack of understanding of the relevant Catholic doctrine. Conclusions like the ones you present here tend to dissuade people from furthering their own research in the exact areas which they owe it to themselves to be researching. As a result of misinterpretation or disregard for Catholic doctrine in this manner, you are probably okay with, not necessarily ignoring, but lessening the degree of impact of the fact that Fr. Ripperger is more qualified when it comes to discussing the truths regarding his observations & how they correlate to the accepted Church teaching. That is not a good mindset to have. Psychology has its place, but people tend to develop a leniency towards or against particular fields of study without acknowledging that each field holds its own particular "truths" which may seemingly contradict another field of study. These truths usually don't contradict in a meaningful way, so long as you view the fields through a separate lens; however, it's important to acknowledge that every field is intrinsically connected with varying degrees of interdisciplinarity. What I'm saying here is that devout Catholics tend to see things through the lens of Catholicism primarily, and psychology (and everything else) else secondarily, or not at all. They can "swap lenses," so to speak, while at work in order to accomplish some sort of task, though they would prefer not to. If you consider yourself to be primarily a Catholic, I would highly recommend continuing your research on the faith. It's much more fascinating than any other field of study.

  • @JESUSCHRISTISLORD911

    @JESUSCHRISTISLORD911

    5 жыл бұрын

    Kent Barber because we are all born from sin since Adam. But we have Jesus now who is our righteousness. God redeems us as sons and daughters of God through Jesus. Jesus is God. Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God will not force us to chose Him. But choosing Him means loving Him and obeying Him from the heart. ACTS 2 is the backbone of salvation post ascension. Peter taught the multitude who Jesus really was and over 3,000 believed that day! Peter could only do this by the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit. That is what God wants with all of us. To live in us and us to live in Him. Why? Because God is HOLY and there is no sin in God. God does not tempt. Satan is the tempter and deceiver. Satan is a created being, a fallen angel, and God gave Satan temporary and limited authority in the world. Suffering produces perseverance and perseverance character. James 1. Without suffering most would remain complacent in their flesh. See no need to believe truly let alone repent. But God is for God first. He created us with free will. We can chose to be His children or children of wrath. We exist to glorify the Lord and are His as Jesus obeyed the Father unto death. Even Jesus when he came down in the flesh was harassed by Satan himself! So, we defeat the enemy that serpent of old through Jesus and the way He taught us. When we are tempted, we turn to Jesus and His word. Jesus rebuked Satan three times each time using the Word. Salvation of your eternal soul is far more valuable to God than the very brief life your body lives. So, some suffer but it is always for God’s glory if we choose to REPENT. Demons need permission. Those walking in sin give them permission. We thus utterly depend on Jesus the only righteous one and His grace, mercy and love. God is NEVER WRONG. You must repent of those thoughts for even such thoughts are of the devil. God bless.

    We've done a much better job at helping other countries relative to the other developed nations in the globe. Actually in many cases we have overdone it! The problem is that, especially in the past, we have used our political and economic power primarily to further increase both powers for us and then help the other nations as a secondary goal. Again, not to justify that, but the fact is that the other industrialized powers have done much worse on that regard than we have. A perfect example was our Monroe Doctrine. Had we used it the way God intended, we would've stopped the Spaniards as we did BUT we would have treated Latin America more fairly than we did rather than exploiting their resources primarily to profit our own industries and corporations. We could extrapolate that to our war against communism, especially in Latin America as recently as the 1990's. The bay of pigs is a case in point (ironically, related to Cuba which was related to the Hispanic-American War...see the connection?). Had we be sincere and fair about our Monroe Doctrine and applied it in that crisis as we should have, instead of over focusing in just our interests rather than the Cuban people as well, the Kennedy Administration would have NEVER abandoned the Freedom Fighters in Cuba like they did. In fact, had we done that, I don't think we would've had a Cuban missile crisis to begin with. But we screwed that one up because of the reasons I already mentioned. Did we make a similar mistake as recently as NOW in Afghanistan? The Jury is still out on that one but I suspect there is something of that here as well.
