The Generation €uro Students’ Award (G€SA) is an annual competition aimed at familiarising secondary school students in Europe with the tasks and responsibilities of the European Central Bank (ECB). Teams from all over Europe, each comprising up to five students and a teacher, complete challenges related to monetary policy, economics and the tasks of the ECB.
The competition is organised at a national level by national central banks, and there is one winning team per participating country. The competition culminates in a final award event attended by all the winning teams at which they get to meet and ask questions of the President of the ECB.
