I remember just starting skirmish matches in rts like cnc series and blizzard games to watch ai fights, now i dont have a computer or laptop but this is good enough, of course the good content im looking for comes from an underrated youtuber nice

It's amazing what us organic types can learn when we see silicon throw fists at each other. XD I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the video. 👍

I actually really like watching AI fight each other in games. They tend to just be goofy slugging matches, whereas a lot of person v. person games are quick micro-controlled matches where the game is won or lost within the first couple of units spawned.

Yeah, this tournament was a fun experiment but idk if I'll do more with it. I recently learned of an 'Improved AI Mod' from cncHD and I may give that a try.

@@JohnMegacycle It would be interesting to see this kind of tournament with Shockwave. Not only are there different units and such, but I think the AI is improved, isn't it? If you want to do this in the future though, definitely don't feel you have to do all the matches in 1-2 days. That's a ton of commentating and thinking and such and I know you talked a lot about being burned out by the end of this tournament. Take your time with it so you can enjoy it too! I think we viewers will survive 😁 Again, love the CnC gameplay and commentary!

@@JohnMegacycle Absolutely! I really enjoy going into your comments and seeing how you make an effort to interact with your community, even those who are more incendiary than is ever warranted. I'll eagerly await the Shockwave content! I found your channel after getting a wave of nostalgia for Zero Hour and wanting to find some good gameplay and commentary and I regularly re-watch both Zero Hour and Shockwave stuff. Your old videos are entertaining, but you've definitely gotten better with time and it's cool to see. Just hearing "Hey there guys, gals, friends, and pals, John Megacycle here" makes me smile

I hope it is enjoyable. After a few matches I was getting so agitated with the stupid mistakes that were being made that I was going to flip my desk so hard that it turned into a black hole. XD

This game is so great, lots of personality gamedevs would be too chicken to put in nowadays

It does have a lot going for it. Many of the themes have become much more controversial, so I can understand why a dev wouldn't want to risk it. It's way easier and safer to use completely fabricated planets/species/etc, like the Scrin, and use those as universal 'bad guys'.

yeah general, but I hope you go deeper after trying this and go into either Contra or Rise of the Reds.
