We have a lot of hmong living my state from when the refugees came over, they are some of the most intelligent persistent people I've ever met and I wish we would have granted sanctuary to even more. Vang Pao isn't just a hero, he's an American hero just like any soldier fighting in our wars.

He'll always be a Hmong Hero, never an American. The American already let go of his hands long, long ago. That's why they accused him for something he didn't do and lock him up, that there is a sign of the American's betrayal of General Vang Pao and the Hmong.

This is the first time I hear him speaking English. He's very good given he had almost no education.

Sad I was too young to understand at the time. He was a great guy.

I was at the time my life was a student, a farmer and a soldier I know a lots, but only one man who was so special at the time is Vang Pao.
