Hera Syndulla: pilot of the Ghost, leader of Phoenix Squadron, nurturing mother figure, and a symbol of hope and freedom. Her story in Star Wars is one of loss, regret, and hardship, but also of hope, love and unshakable will. Recent re-watches of Star Wars Rebels has really made me gain a deeper appreciation of her character, especially her role in the crew of the Ghost. A huge thank you to Vanessa Marshall, Dave Filoni, and the rest of Lucasfilm Animation for bringing us this inspiring character, which in my opinion is the heart and soul of Star Wars Rebels.
