Wala pong ibig sabihin ang "highly urbanized city" kundi meron po silang 50 million na pondo sa local treasury nila noong unang bes naging city ang mga ito. Ang Lucena po ay HUC din, pero mas progressive ang Naga kumpara sa Lucena.

Complete kasi Naga , Ateneo, colesiuam na sin laki ng Cuneta astrudom at sa Makati collesuium.. Nauna pa Naga sa cebu , davao, bacolod , cdo nyan at sa ilo-ilo. Kaya palagi compare Ang Naga sa HUC.

Nauna pa kz magkaroon ng big collesuium Ang Naga compaired to other leading Huc ' s in the Philipines, already considered as unofficially HUC.

Both are beautiful cities. I hope both General Santos and Naga would receive tons of investments and become as progressive as second tier cities like Bacolod, Cebu, CDO, Davao and Iloilo.

large population with no high rise buildings or even skyscrapers. this type of city, alots of building should be visible. in Malaysia there cities looks progressive even its just only 100k population but, the city has alreay wide roads goods transportation and infrastracture with well urban plan and lastly alots of developments in progress like high rises and skyscrapers. gensan looks like just a typicall big town not looks like a city yet such pity.

Naga Airport is NOT SERVICING INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS while GENSAN AIRPORT IS AN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. the Naga Airport has a Runway length of 1,402 meters while Gensan Airport runway is 3,227 meters. Aircraft Movement as of 2018 for Naga is 2,020..while Gensan has 4,656 as of 2015. As of 2018, Airport Passenger Traffic for Naga is 94,175 while Gensan has 920,670 passengers!

HUC na Gen San while Naga City is just developing from first class ICC to HUC. That's the real city status and category of Naga, is not yet become a HCU.

Naga is a still a little ICC type of city. It has a population of 209,000 people. Naga will become like CDO, Davao, GenSan, Manila, Cebu around 2022 to 2028.

Has a higher poverty than Naga. Prone to earthquakes. Plus Naga isn't too prone to Typhoons Albay, Catanduanes and Camarines Norte are more prone to Typhoons.

Tricycles should be ban from plying aroung highways because it seems like an obstruction. I hope the gensan LGU could improve the transpo system more and compensate those tricycle drivers who would be affected.

Where did you got your info about the city classifation.of Naga? Naga City is a first class independent component city with more than 200 k inhabitants and an annual income of more than 1.3 B as of 2020.. The city gained it's first class status in 1990 within 2 yrs under the leadership of the late Mayor Robredo , from third class city turned to first class , which was hard to equal . The reason why Robredo was appointed as DlLG sec.

It's surrounding towns are also fast Developing it's even developing at a faster rate than cities of Bicol Southern Luzon. Thus it's metropolitan area is rapidly urbanizing compared to other areas in Bicol, Mindanao, and Northern Luzon. It's metropolitan area has a population of 858,000 people and it has a poverty rate of 9% as of latest. Gensan has a poverty rate of 14% a little higher than Naga. Traffic is also becoming a thing in Metro Naga. Taller buildings are being built. More commercial buildings are established not only in Naga but it's metropolitan area too. It also has the highest development in the region of 72% Gensan has a development of 70% so they are basically the same Naga is a bit more developed than Gensan though. Roads are also getting improved not only inside the city. Please explain your defense about General Santos City.

Naga used to be the consedered regional city in the region because of being the most progressive and the center of everything in the region, always compared to other HUC because of its fast urban development , while Legazpi 's LGU wants the city to become a HUC . And being the center of tourism in the region. Legazpi City now became the regional capital city. And gained more than the annual income surpassing Naga City.. Successfully gained the regional city status and being the largest , richiest city in Bicol region ..

@@harleydoggie7156 See. Legazpi this person said is the largest in land area. So there's a reason behind why Legazpi has a larger economy. Though Legazpi is the biggest Naga city earned the fastest growing again in 2021. There are more poor in Legazpi than Naga because Naga has many offices and school and low taxes. It's nearby town Daraga is the only urban center near it. While Naga has towns surrounding it that rapidly became urban. This guy above me (RONALD DAZA G) said that Naga's surrounding towns are far from Naga City itself. But they aren't they are just as close to Naga than Daraga is close to Legazpi.

Legazpi surpassing the annual income of Naga since 2020. But Naga can be considered as Legazpi' s close competitive city within the region.. Both cities works together helpful are good for the region..

@@harleydoggie7156 I feel like Legazpi is just fighting now. Legazpi has to fight 3 problems Volcano Eruption, Lack of land for development, rising sea level. So I highly doubt if other cities can surpass Naga which is mostly flat. Legazpi's metropolitan is still mostly rural. Metro Naga is wide and flat. Our towns of Canaman, Milaor, Magarao, Camaligan, Pili will be potential for suburban development.
