    My AF Que Yue, shiny version, is super accurate in my hands. Love the light and snappy feel. Very natural to me for some reason. AF Tatar Oak version has been very nice and I get accurate with it after some shots... Both seem very well made, mass produced by hand. Simple but quality craftsmanship...

    The oak version is the basic. It rivals their own premium bearpaw version.

    I've had there Sai Cai for 4 years now, it's great. Bear Paw glass and birds eye maple, 45# at 28". I have noticed over time that it has gotten smoother to draw and I can get to the 34" max draw quite well. I did make a string change to fast flight and it made a noticeable difference in speed and vibration, but it doesn't have hand shock at all just a little vibration. It's been a sweet shooter for the money and literally 20,000 or more arrows have been shot through it and it still seems like new! Thanks for your opinion!

    4 years ago would put you at the sweet spot that i mentioned. After they made changes, i didn't like how the bow worked. The shock and vibration started after the newer changes

    Hi just found your channel and love the resources specially the one about how to avoid shoulder injuries. That one hepled me a lot with some shoulder possitioning. I am looking for my first laminated bow. If my budget is around $300-350.00 usd which company do you think is the best?

    Moreover the basic Turkish bow look way better than the premium one imo, so it's really a matter of taste. Good vid, keep up the great work!

    Aesthetic is subjective. For example I like the siyah walnut color, which contrasts against the core. But I don't like the bird's eye maple, look like some diseased wood surface lol. There are some wood veneer that look nice, maybe not this particular one. I also rather have a simple black bow tip than the red/black combo. Feels overdone, too fancy. But for the price difference, I'd rather pick the basic one, it is just a much better value. The premium one breaks just as much as the basic, so I don't see the point of having it

    I have several AF and I do not complain at all I have a Nawalny whose quality is excellent and I hardly see any difference with my af. Even my best precision shots have been taken with AF.I personally have had no problems with that brand. But thanks was very interesting topic.

    Both the Mariner and Spearman are better than the Nawalny. I didn't like mine (Nawalny) and sold it off early this year. Even though initially, it didn't felt like shock, but after a bit, the Nawalny feel less comfortable to me. The shock sensation seems to have build with time. I'd even rate the AF basic laminated as being better than Nawalny. That's how good these AF basic bows are, hence they even rival AF's own premium selection.

    By not tillering their bow, do you mean they make the top and bottom limb equal even though the top limb should be a little higher than the bottom?

    Depends on when you got them and depends on your luck. Bows are not tillered, so you get random positive, negative, or even. Some unit sucks, some ok. It's like a lucky draw and you won't know what you'll get next.

    @Bamboo Archery yeah, they should put what bow they achieved it with the poundage at 28 they did it with, it's misleading and what if you get a strong person who can pull 50 pounds to the supposedly 34 inch draw, would it snap? I have seen a video of them drawing a bow to like 36-37 inch but I bet it's a 25 pound bow

    I don't sell Ali anymore. Something happened between us and I felt cheated. Lost a few thousand USD for nothing. It's kinda like you paying full price for product A, and then you are given B, which is worth a lot less. Then you're told to just assume it being the same, and consider it settled. I kid you not, that's exactly what they did.

    @@bambooarchery if you get a non-tillered bow, could you improvise a positive tiller just by putting felt under the top limb string where it touches the syiah? If you lift up the string a few mm, does that change the tiller?

  • @bambooarchery

    @bambooarchery

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@pyramid_scheme_termination3655 no, you can't. Also, positive tiller alone is not enough. Positive tiller simply means that you have the lower limb stronger than the top. It doesn't say anything about the synchronicity of the two limb. The only way to do this is by slowly shaving material off.

    I’m looking at buying a Korean bow but I’m struggling to figure out what length I should buy. Is there like a test I can do to find the proper bow length? Specifically I’m looking at an daylite arsenal and Kaya black k. I’m roughly 5 foot 8 inches to 9 inches tall. Armin says the arsenal stacks after 31 in the 50 inch version. But 33 inches feels like too much for me.

  • @bambooarchery

    @bambooarchery

    Жыл бұрын

    Korean bows stack much sooner than you may expect (25-27", 65° to the limb). Most of them maxes out at 31" or so (90° to the limb). Claims of 33" are usually BS and the bow stacked like crap (way past 90° to the limb).

    @@bambooarchery so you think it doesn’t matter much whether I get the 50 or the 53 I’m gonna see the same amount of stacking? I ask because I don’t know if the length actually changes the string angle by alot or not. It seems like it would. I’m not pulling much past 31 anyways. You don’t sell any carbon bows with a shelf by chance?

    @@timormsby1722 i got the Han Fibreglass long siyah bow in 35 pounds, and I recommend making a flemish twist out of the cheap waxy polyester bowstring material you can get on Aliexpress for $2-$5 a spool like I did. From the nonexistent stretch and creep, plus speed readings on the chrony I would say it counts as a fastflight type material. Shoots much faster with no issues for me after 500-1000 shots. Handshock was already remarkably low for a fibreglass bow but now it's nonexistent. If it does break I don't really mind - it cost less than a meal out when I bought it. If it begins to show wear i'll just reinforce the nocks with horn.
