@@dianahulstine8522 Bailing out the auto industry did work, just the auto companies have not been held more accountable by Donald Trump. He took away unions that guaranteed salaries and insurance.

It's never enough for GM.....They pay new workers less, or they keep them as temps for years....I mean 10 or more. They don't pay pensions, only you have to save in your 401k, temps gets no beninite, but the price of cars, trucks gets more and more expensive. The replace workers with robots, and ignore workers who have good ideas in form of the suggestion program.

That is why unions matter guys. Technology is replacing humans, nothing you can do to get around that except transition with the times. Same with clean energy that is starting to become cheaper than fossil fuels.

If GM would stop building such junk cars, maybe this wouldn’t be an issue? They still haven’t learned and they continue to still build crap after crap.

6000 workers at GM in mexico...those workers make 6.00 a day but they will charge you 65,000 for a new suv or truck cause of cheap labor in Mexico

GM should keep plants in Akron or Canton. Lordstown is losing population quickly. Not good.

Chevrolet pay employees in Mexico 2.35 dollars per hours compare that to 30.00 dollars per hours in United States I don’t blame Chevrolet for closing the plant

People aren’t buying small American cars. It’s business not personal. American manufacturers couldn’t figure out how to make a good small car.

I had a 2010 impala, everything electrical on it was garbage. It was the last GM product I will own.

No it's not just a bandaid solution

Blamed on General Motors whom.unable to compete with honda & toyota japan. Anyway GM had been losing each year bcoz the management dont think of a way to make business more profitable by making new products technolog which is not in the market. Hmmm may be producr Eg. One wheel bike or solar cars ;). Think of new ideas. Oh ya please do not blamed the government for GMshuttingbits plants.

First Mistake like all since Early 80s Closings ,,,UNION GREED ,ALWAYS KILLS IT ,,But more So GM HAS DONE THIS SO MANY TIMES ITS PREDICABLE ,,

Yeah one plant closes but we're living in the best economy in over 40 years but Trump's a liar!?? GTFOH!
